I stayed here over 3 nights in June on a trip of Northern Spain and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The rooms are clean, small & have a refreshing blue & white color scheme The bathroom is compact, no tub only a shower & a small amount of shower gel satchets in a basket. The windows have very good double glazing so there is virtually no street noise from down below, no car pass as it is a pedestrian street but there is people at 2 am. Breakfast is usual bread /ham /cheese /orange juice /coffee affair. Average.
The hotel is in a great location, smack bang in the middle of the old town, not too far from the bus station, very near lots of bars & restaurants as well as the beach. If you go you must have menu de dia at Bar Mercante in the old town 10e - such great value - it overlooks El Puerto (that expensive restaurant) by the port in the old town, Would go back to Gijon again.More
