We stayed here for a long weekend in November. It's an easy walk from the bus station of around 10 minutes, even with cases. It's in a good central location and well placed for shops and bars etc.

When we arrived, we were warmly greeted by the receptionist and were given an upgrade to a suite. We were rather pleased by this as the suite turned out to be very pleasant indeed. We had two rooms made up of a separate bedroom and living room area. The bathroom was huge, although the bath and shower weren't separate. The whole place was spotless and very comfortable. We looked out over a pedestrianised street, so there was no traffic noise and not much noise at night either.

The internet worked well, the bed was comfortable and the overall service was excellent. There are two small supermarkets nearby, one on Calle Moros (bigger and better) and the other on Calle Begonia. There is a nice square nearby, which has a few bars and restaurants, but it isn't the most lovely place at nights, especially when it's raining.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful. This is certainly somewhere we'd stay again if we visited Gijon again.

Room Tip: If you can go for a deluxe or suite, would recommend these for the extra space.

This was a great find. It is central and although it doesn't have its own car park, they offer you a discounted rate of 10€/day at a public car park less than a minute's walk away. The staff on reception are friendly and very helpful as was the lady who worked in the breakfast bar. They have two types of breakfast (with or without cooked food) and they were both reasonable priced. The rooms were great and we actually had a separate living room with its own TV. The hotel's website is extremely helpful and everything is very clearly explained. Recommenable!

Our second visit to this hotel and certainly one we will use on future visits to Gijon. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend. Good location for shopping, eating and the beach. Yes, it is next to a Casino but we were not bothered by this. On this stay we had a deluxe room, situated on the 8th floor which to our surprise had a very large balcony. We did overlook the street which we like but only heard minimal noise during the night, it was not an issue. The Hotel is very clean and well maintained with friendly & helpful staff. All the rooms here are of a good size and in our experience have very comfortable beds. Gijon has many bars and restaurants within walking distance of the hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on a higher floor

Old style, traditional hotel which must have been quite grand in its day. Still very comfortable although the layout is a bit quirky. Our bedroom was quite spacious with en suite but also had a smaller room attached with fridge, TV and second bathroom. The public car park costs €10 and is visible from hotel entrance, a minute's walk. Centrally located - turn right after the car park entrance onto 'Corrida' which is pedestrianised and has shops, bars and restaurants and also leads directly to the port and old town which has some good bars. Reception staff very pleasant and welcoming.

Stayed here for one night as part of a driving tour and was quite impressed by the quality and location of this hotel. The hotel seems quite grand with lots of polished brass banisters and fittings, the room too seem quite upmarket with wooden floors and nice furniture and on the wall of the bedroom and in the sitting room large TV’s with a good range of English channels. The room we had came with a separate hallway, sitting room, bathroom with WC and a separate WC also, all was clean and seemed well maintained, the bathroom was a little bit dated but was ok. The hotel is next to a Casino, I am not sure if they are connected but they give you a voucher on check in that entitles you to free entrance to the Casino and a free drink which was nice, all the staff were pretty nice and helpful. The hotel does not have its own car park so you get a reduced rate at an underground public car park that is about 100 metres from the hotel so in reality this worked out really well since it was so close to the Hotel is was no extra hassle, the car park was well monitored and had an attendant so felt quite safe. The location of the hotel was great for shopping but was about a 10 minute walk to the beaches and the old part of Gijon. The only thing I do find with a lot of city centre hotels and this is no exception is that the sound of the street does travel especially at night so be prepared to hear some of the bars especially at the weekend. All in all this was a good hotel and I would be more than happy to stay here again.

Room Tip: Maybe get a room on the upper floors since these are quieter from street noise

This is clearly the old lady of the town. But rooms are spacious, the hotel is in a great central location, beach is 5 minutes, lots of lovely cafés, restaurantes and plazas near by. Staff are friendly especially' Pablo'. The breakfast room needs updating and the food was disappointing so we had breakfast out every morning. Our generously sized suite on 7th Floor, was clean but noisy at night.

Stayed 2 nights here on our grand tour of the Basque Country, Cantabria and Asturias. The hotel is in an excellent location in the city, central for all activities, beach, old town, commercial centre etc.
The reception staff spoke excellent English and made us feel welcome and at home. They showed on a map where all the best bars/restaurants are and were there to answer any questions.
The rooms were well maintained and exceptionally clean, as were all parts of the building. Some of it is dated but it all adds to the charm.
I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.
