Visited this little art gallery on a cool January day. The collection was a real surprise. Amongst a host of unknown (to me) artists was a liberal scattering of works by Picasso, Dali, Goya, El Greco etc. The place was beautifully laid out, well kept and warm there were attendants on each floor willing to assist. You need a good couple of hours to appreciate some of the very underestimated Spanish artists on display here. Our visit was slightly spoiled by a crowd of adolescants on a school trip who were raucous in the extreme and half of them spent the whole time texting with absolutely no interest in the place. I suppose it should be slightly reassuring to note that the UK is not the only place where we seem to be jettisoning our culture. This place is well worth a visit if you are in Oviedo.
