“Good hotel”

Very good hotel. Friendly staff. Central location. Decent rooms. Average breakfast options. It's not 5 stars but a proper one for a visit. The room amenities are poor and the room is basic.
Will stay again there mainly for its central location

The hotel rooms are nice and comparable to U S stds. Except for air condition it was cool outside so mgmt decide to have the rooms heater turn on and no air condition option for everyone staying in the hotel.
They refused to accommodate guest instead told us to open window. This option was not a good one as you hear the trains come in early in the morning.

The breakfast buffet was good.

Hotel staff needs to be more accommodating to guest and front desk staff be more customer focus. The front desk staff needs training in customer service especially late night shift.

Recently stayed in this amazing hotel with a group of 12 students. We had a 3 week stay and felt at home from the moment we checked in. The reception staff were polite and informative and nothing was too much trouble! The rooms are very comfortable.. I was on the 8th floor with an amazing view of beautiful 'la losa'.. I love Oviedo and will definitely return to this perfect hotel in a perfect location!!

I stayed in this hotel on a recent business trip to Northern Spain. It is set in a lovely location adjacent to the main rail and bus stations and overlooks a scenic square complete with water fountain . The hotel is spotlessly clean, spacious , welcoming and unfussed . The rooms are quiet and well furnished and the bathrooms spacious and modern.
The breakfast buffet is Spanish/European, so don't expect any English food. I found it a pleasant change and cereal and wonderful fresh fruit and juices went down a treat! Highly recommended.

We spent two nights in this hotel and had a fifth floor room overlooking the railway. This was no problem as the hotel is built high over the tracks and the nosie impact is zero/ minimal inside the hotel. The train arrivals and departures gave us some passing interest.

The room was very well appointed, clean and everything worked including the efficient air conditioning. The city is sited in a volcanic bowl and is well known to collect the sun's heat.

The service from the staff was friendly efficient and helpful with a good proportion of english speakers on duty.

The meals were satisfactory with a very good selection at breakfast in terms of the choice, quality and quantities on offer. There is a Mercador supermarket next ro the hotel (an upmarket Spanish store) well worth a visit to stock up on drinks and snacks if touring in the area.

Would recommend this hotel. One slight downside is it is not too easy to approach by road owing to the complicated city traffic systems near the railway station.

The hotel has a superb location next to both the bus and train stations. It is a short walk to the Old Town and the main shopping streets. Opposite the hotel there are loads of restautants and wine bars, the rutas de vinos, where you can enjoy a variety of tapas and wines. i thought the rooms were on the small side and the selection of toiletriescwas poor. Did not have any meals in the hotel as there are also places nearby for a cheap breakfast.

We selected the Oviedo Forum because of its affiliation with Marriott (gold members) and because of its location near the bus/train stations. It is indeed a convenient location - not only for public transportation, but it's an easy walk to the rest of the city and restaurants.

We checked in and were given a room on the 8th floor - great views. The problem is that the air conditioning never fully kicked in to make the room comfortable - even after two days stay! We asked about moving, and the front desk gave us two options, but both rooms were so hot that we decided it would take forever for them to cool off as well.

We were traveling with another couple - and they were given a room on the 6th floor. When we asked about being placed on the same floor, the desk clerk said they hotel was "fully booked" so they couldn't be on 8th floor, and we couldn't move to their floor because it was a smoking floor (though they weren't told this). Surprisingly, this "sold out" hotel had no people in the pubic areas - in a two-night stay, we saw no more than 5 other people in the hotel! We went to have a drink in the bar on the ground floor, but it was closed (doesn't look like it is operational anymore). We then went to the restaurant on the 1st floor thinking we could sit on the terrace, but no service people were there...and there was only one table being used in the entire (fairly large) restaurant. The public areas were beautifully furnished...but again, seemed completely vacant of people!

I would recommend the hotel to those traveling by train/bus as a convenient location. If your AC works, the room would be great as well! Lots of great restaurants and historical sites in the old part of town - take time to explore Oviedo, it's really delightful! A very interesting and walkable city!
