“ROMANTIC GETAWAY”
Reviewed 25 August 2014

Modern style hotel with great location. Rooms are comfy, spacious and quiet. There is a small problem with the shower that leaks no matter what which is the only flaw we found in this spotlessly clean hotel. Wifi did work for surfing the net, not so for data transmission.

Punctual problems with an easy fix: once we referred this to the reception of the hotel they were unable to fix it; the breakfast area in the basement is cramped and tables are so close you can only walk sideways towards the buffet.

We also took advantage of the circuit and the facial. Quality standards were very high and our 2-night stay ended up being very relaxing.

Room Tip: The waiter did his best here to keep the service going but you don't really need to learn to use...

Stayed in a standard room with no view, on the first floor. The location balanced out the awful sound proofing.

Pros
- Location could not be better
-Clean, nice bathroom
-Good breakfast with nespresso coffee and delicious pastries
-about 8 different types of gin on the room service list!
-umbrella in the wardrobe

Cons
-Noisy room - we could hear everything from the room next door, as our room had an adjoining door. The sound of text messages arriving at the cleaner's mobile phone and the lift etc was also loud through the room door. Made for a very disturbed night's sleep.
- The window led onto a small patio area shared with next door's room - meant that we felt uncomfortable having the blind open, particularly as we already felt much too intimate with them.
- room so tiny we kept bumping into the furniture
- no communal area or bar, and the breakfast room is cramped in the basement next to the conference room, which is not that relaxing
- wifi wasn't great
- bed only had three pillows, though you could ask for more I think

Room Tip: Avoid a standard room with no view on the first floor, and if possible request one that doesn't...

The bathroom let the room down. Another hotel that has succumbed to the nonsense of opaque glass walls for the bathroom. Worse still the towel rail is in the shower area so unusable and the shower and toilet are in the same space. So after you've had a shower the toilet floor is wet. Rubbish design.

But the hotel is spotless, very well located and the staff are very helpful. Great breakfast.

This is an ideal hotel for your visit to Oviedo, being central to the old and new towns. It is spotlessly clean and offers above average accommodation. Hotel staff very friendly. We will definitely return to this hotel on our next visit to Oviedo.

We loved staying at the Princesa Munia in Oviedo in late April 2014. We were within walking distance of the major attractions, and it was beautifully appointed inside. Everything is brand new and very comfortable, and the staff is very helpful. We also enjoyed overlooking the street and having a small balcony.

Room Tip: We loved having a room overlooking the street!

My partner booked the attic suite as a present for my birthday and added a spa treatment for the two of us (16€ each from Sun-Thurs). It was amazing! I have never been in a so beautiful and marvelous hotel-room. It has everything you need, and the electric bonfire makes a magical atmosphere, the same as the jacuzzi! Prices of the mini bar are acceptable, so we enjoyed some drinks after all.
We had dinner in a restaurant in the corner of the street and a walk around the old town at night, no words!

Room Tip: Attic suite, I think it was room no. 501

This hotel has absolutely lovely rooms - very luxurious with everything you could want (although glass bathroom door might not suit some people!). Great location in central Oviedo, you can walk everywhere in the city from here. Parking is available (book in advance) a couple of streets away. Great service. The major problem with the hotel is the lack of communal space/bar/lounge. Although there is a bar across the road associated with the hotel, it's not really one for sitting around, so if you wanted to relax but not in your room and have a drink etc. there isn't really anywhere for this and I would have expected this for the price. If you just want a room, this hotel is lovely.
