Stayed here for a couple of nights and it is well situated between the Guggenheim and the old town. Very clean and modern double room with a massive bed & free safe. Bear in mind it is city centre and has a busy road at the front and school at the back so expect some noise.

Selected this from the trip advisor reviews and were not disappointed.
When we arrived by car travelling from the motorway we though we had made a terrible mistake as the area we past through you would not want to stop. However when you reach the river area it is much more pleasant. The location is excellent for all the main sites of old town with its boutique shops and bars, the main shopping drag and of course the Guggenhiem. The architecture of this place is amazing and the main reason for our visit.
The hotel bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in and the soundproofing is good as is the air conditioning.
We had breakfast of which we were offered a discount which made it reasonably priced as we tend to eat outside of hotels. The wine at the bar is reasonable as well.
We would return if coming back to this city. The reception staff were very helpful if their English is not great which is typical for this area. Don't understand some of the poor reviews here.

Upon arrival we were not given any information about the city, or any of the usual helpfulness one expects from the hotel concierge. In fact they barely speak english and seemed allergic to a smile or eye contact.

our beds were very subpar and after two nights we decided to ask for a switch because we were having terrible nights and exhausting days. Both my husband and I were dreading requesting a switch because the hotel staff had already proven themselves very disinterested and impatient when we asked if they had any adaptors to lend out. Our fears were not wrong as when we did ask they became very insulted and scoffed! My husband understands a little spanish and informed me they were not very polite between their exchange with each other.

Good hotel in excellent location . ..may be lacking in personality but clean, modern, comfortable at the end of a long day of sightseeing and culture overload. Lovely bed ,great sleep . Huge selection at breakfast so only small lunch needed.
Walking distance of Guggenheim, old town, market,Plaza Moyjua (for airport bus),funicular railway.
Metro and tram stops close by (Only two lines on metro so easy to navigate).
Good value for quality received.
Small minus point ...although the WC is separate from the bedroom , the shower and wash basin are only separated from the sleeping area by a mirror screen thingy which looks smart until you unload your toiletries etc and may not suit you if you like more privacy for your ablutions!

Just had one night in Bilbao so wanted a good location. Really surprised by Bilbao - only saw the river and old town but hotel perfect for both. Excellent comfortable room at a really good price. Did not eat there - rate did not include breakfast. Staff extremely friendly and helpful
