This hotel overall lives up to its 4-star rating. Over the four nights we stayed, the service was excellent; the breakfasts a real feast; rooms were nicely furnished and bathrooms well appointed. Our room was quiet (as requested) and we slept well, especially with a choice of many different pillows. The big disappointments were the reading lights, as commented by others; the lack of a choice of English language TV channels; overheated rooms. The reading lights are simply inadequate and need a new type of flexible shade so that light can be directed onto the bed rather than only the night table. The choice of CNN or nothing in English on TV is not good--at least BBC World would have provided some variety. The heat in the room was too high for us, and the thermostat seems to be just for show, because heat is regulated centrally and there was no response when we adjusted the thermostat--my clock has a thermometer so I know the room heat varied only between 75.6 and 76.6 F no matter how low I set the wall thermostat. It never became bad enough for us to complain, so I don't know if the hotel could have cooled down just our room. But to end on a good note: the location was walkable everywhere, and we were well set up by the generous breakfasts with plenty of fruit, cakes, continental meats, cheeses and eggs.
