Had a great stay at Hotel Miro in July 2014. Hotel Mira is in a perfect location for Museums, restaurants, shopping and just walking. The staff helped us with directions, getting to San Sabastian dinner reservations and site-seeing ideas. We booked the TripAdvisor special which included tickets to the Museum. The breakfast was more than enough for us with eggs, bacon, breads, cheeses, and lots more. Coffee was very good which is important to us first thing in the morning! From the airport we took the airport to city bus, cheap and drops you off very close to the hotel. Overall a great stay.

Thanks for choosing us during your recent trip to Bilbao. The Tripadvisor offer is a great opportunity to enjoy the Miró with a discount, breakfast, and Guggenheim Tickets.

It makes us happy to hear you liked our unbeatable location, perfect for visiting both museums, art galleries, and restaurants.

Look forward to welcoming you back again in the future.

Great location and superb service all with a sense of boutique design and style- could not have been better. We booked a junior suite for my family of four(11&12 year old girls) which was more than adequate.

Tastefully decorated, beautiful hotel with very comfortable room. We stayed in the master suite with 2 kids- they make 2 extra beds for kids in the suites, if you ask. The windows can be completely sealed, which makes this ideal for sleeping late in the morning to help with recovery from the travel and jet lag. The bed is not very comfortable- I found almost all the beds in Spain extremely hard (and I have what we call a "firm" mattress in the US). The pillows are also hard in most places I've stayed in Spain, including this one. The pillows that came with the kids extra beds were softer, so maybe ask for those. The breakfast is very good. The massage was good but I was not accustomed to the extreme exposure/intimacy of that-- completely removed the towel when I was face down- a towel that I already found kind of skimpy for the massage. I would recommend being clear about what you are comfortable/not comfortable with prior to the massage!

By the way, I think the photos on this site imply that you can see the Bilbao from the windows if you get a street-facing room. You cannot. The hotel is across the street from the museum, about 1/2 block away. You would have to lean way out the window to see the museum from the room window, even one with a "view."

There are some excellent playgrounds right near the museum.

Room Tip: The master suite was great.

Thank you very much for sharing your opinion on Tripadvisor, we value it very highly.

We have brand new beds, the Flex Grand Comfort mattresses, sorry to hear they did not match your expectations.

Glad you enjoyed the luxury and extra space of our Master Suite, it is perfect for couples and families alike! It is a lofty-penthouse style room with Velux windows facing the street and the museum, however the structure/design of the room does not offer easy access to views like you have on the rest of Guggenheim facing rooms and our super luminous Junior Suites and City Deluxe Rooms.

We also appreciate your suggestion about the massage, and are pleased to hear you liked it overall.

Hope to welcome you back in the future, so you can continue discovering our surprising city.

Best,

The Hotel Miro is located about half way between the Guggenheim Museum in one direction and the art museum in the other direction. The Rio de Bilbao flows next to the Guggenheim and offers a lovely park to better enjoy the city views. The downtown area is within a very short walk, and the staff was most helpful in giving tips on what to see and how to get there. The hotel itself is very modern and the room we had overlooked the Guggenheim and the river. It was quiet, clean and very nicely furnished. We certainly enjoyed the good selection at the breakfast buffet, and the coffee bar located in the lobby area provides coffee and soft drinks at no charge anytime to guests. What parking arrangements are I do not know as we did not have a car with us.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the river offer a great view and the traffic noise on the street below was never notice...

Thanks for choosing us and for sharing your experience on Tripadvisor.

We are happy you enjoyed our great location between the Guggenheim and Fine Arts Museums (the Fine Arts is a definite must as well), our free and exclusive courtesy bar and our delicious breakfast.

This prime location offers us incredible views of many architectural gems...the Guggenheim, Moneo' s Library, Siza' s Paraninfo, Pelli's Torre Iberdrola, and Ferrater's luxury apartments...a feast for the eyes of architecture lovers!

Looking forward to welcoming you back in the future,

It's just an average hotel in a very good location. The two main issues are the tiny room and an small gym with old equipment. Paying around 70e per night would be good but over that price it just doesn't worth it.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying in this very comfortable hotel. The staff were lovely. Friendly and helpful. The Miro is conveniently sited just above the Guggenheim museum and frankly it's worth paying for the view since for us, it's not likely that we'll be going there again - at least not for a couple of years. This was the first of our hotels in a 2-week tour of Northern Spain and Bilbao was a very memorable place - not least for the excellent food.

The small hotel room is clean, modern, comfortable. Located right across from the Guggenheim Museum and the Bilbao City Bus Tour starting point. Very good locations
Air Conditioner made too much of a load noise that I had to turn it off. Informed the hotel of that when I checked out.
I recommend for a short stay in a really good location

Room Tip: Upper floor, away from the main street. No view but much quieter
