You can't beat the location. Get the room facing the beach if you want good views and breeze at night. The room is small but comfortable. The concierge is helpful but totally understaffed. It will take half an hr to get your car ready. I will not take the breakfast - decent but expensive. There are wonderful cafes around the corner.

Room Tip: Third floor is better than second or third.

The rooms facing the street are ok - but next time I would pay more for a sea view - in saying that - the rooms are lovely.

The best part about the hotel is the lobby bar - it is just stunning - overlooking the ocean - and the drink waiters are very genourous with the vodka - you just say when - not good for my hangover - but brilliant value for money and quite funny.

It is on the beach, it is a 5 min walk to Old Town, it is close to everything - I just loved it.

San Sebastian is a brilliant place.

The staff were quite nice, nothing special - but pleasant.

I wish I was there now - a terrific hotel

One warning - we booke a driver from Birraritz to San Sebatian on line from Australia - there was 4 of us travelling - he was ok picking us up - but forgot to get us back to the airport - it was SO stressful - we caught a cab - it was $100 Euro - which was not much more than the driver - and he drove us there at 120 KM an hour so we JUST made our flight - lesson learned - catch a cab...

GREAT fun - and make sure you book Muggaritz - wow - best dining ever!!!!

Room Tip: Ocean View

Location, location! Right in front of the beautiful La Concha beach! Our room was nicely decorated, had a very comfortable bed with great linens and pillows. The all- marble bathroom was very large and had great toiletries. The front desk provides beach towels, so please don't be afraid of the chilly waters, the beach was great. We walked to the Casco Viejo, to the Cathedral, all the great shops are also a couple of blocks away. I cannot think of staying anywhere else in San Sebastian.

This was my first time in Donostia - San Sebastien - and the second time for my wife. It was our first time in this hotel, though, and we were very pleased to have chosen it for a one-night stay before heading to Santander for the ferry back to the UK. After reading previous Tripadvisor reviews we decided to pay well over 200 Euros for a lovely 6th floor room, with a small but enjoyable balcony and of course an excellent view of the beach and the lovely bay. The (free of charge) beach is just across the pedestrian promenade (but watch out for cyclists!) and the hotel's bar on the prom is a great place to sit and watch the passing parade in the afternoon and evening. We stayed on a Sunday night (when it seems that almost all Michelin rated restaurants are closed) and therefore we ate in the hotel's restaurant. It was good value (76 euro for the two of us - including a bottle of very acceptable wine) and it was surprisingly not very busy. The staff in the restaurant and the hotel in general were very pleasant indeed. There was a charge of 20 euro for the valet parking service - but this was efficient and probably only slightly more than finding a self-parking garage by negotiating the one-way road system and then lugging suitcases around oneself. We greatly enjoyed a late evening promenade into the old town and along the promenade around the bay. We did notice the very loud noise from the open-air disco (?) 500 metres or so away (mentioned by another reviewer) but with the windows closed we couldn't hear it any more. After the crowds on the beach and the prom the Sunday afternoon and evening it was amazing how quiet and empty both of them were on the Monday morning. A tractor swept the beach clean until 9 am by when just half a dozen or so people had settled on the sand. A great photo opportunity! We wandered around the town again on the Monday morning and decided that we must come again before too long!

Room Tip: Pay more for a sea-view for a short stay - but for a longer stay, some city view rooms appear to ha...

its a very elegant old fashion hotel with the facility of a modern hotel.reserve a room with the ocean front view its woth it to see the sunset and the beach in front of your eyes.YOu feel transport to the past knowing that so many important people had stayed in that hotel. Like our room , Toulouse Lautrec stayed in the room that we had. WHat an emotion!
Its a beautiful and very romantic Hotel.

Its located in the Concha which its a walking distance from all the see sights.

This was our second stay in this hotel. Two years ago we booked through a broker and discovered on arrival that we were not booked into a sea view room and had to pay a supplement. It was a bad start but We so liked the view and position that we decided to go back, this time booking directly on the hotel website. Our overall experience of the hotel was much better this time: the staff were friendly and helpful, our room was a large corner suite overlooking the beach and the atmosphere was vibrant but relaxing. Minor upgrades to the furnishings etc were evident but it was still a "character" hotel. In my opinion no hotel in San Sebastian is better located as la concha beach is just wonderful to watch, day and night. The desk staff were particularly helpful when, on my way to check out, I dropped my sunglasses down the lift well! They called in a maintenance man who retrieved them, with relatively good grace all round. A great place to spend a couple of days just watching the world go by...

Room Tip: Book direct with the hotel and make it a sea view room

The guest rooms are lovely and recently renovated. We loved the 30 second walk to the beach and the very friendly staff. You could not ask for a more perfect location when staying in San Sebastian. The only disappointment was the cleaning staff were not as thorough as could be but the manager was very obliging and made sure we were compensated for our disappointment with them. I would definitely recommend Hotel Londres when visiting San Sebastian.
