We celebrated my mother's 60th birthday in San Sebastian and this hotel made it extra special. The location is second to none, the hotel is very old-school in a charming way, and we got upgraded to a seaview corner room, which was just amazing.

The location and room size and views from the little terrace made it really tempting to stay in the room all day - it was just excellent. Really recommend staying in the centre of town in San Sebastian to get the most out of the experience: walking and eating in the old town, shopping in the elegant shopping streets adjacent to the hotel, the city beach, joining the local seniors in peoplewatching. A great place to relax for a few days. The city centre location is very accessible (not for the wallet but for people with disabilities) and lots of bike lanes around town.

Note: the beach is very much a city beach and got totally packed even in early June. In the morning and evenings it is super interesting to watch the tide go far out and come back in. Great location to watch sunsets over the water, too.

The hotel has a past-century charm to it, which was just right for San Sebastian.

Dear Discovering_the_new,

Gald to read you had a great stay with your mother anad that you could enjoy the sea view room thanks to the upgrade. Consider it as a birthday present! Indeed the views are incredible.

Look forward to welcome you back in San Sebastian.

Best regards,
Elena

This is an older hotel, rooms are on the small side. Location is nice, right on the beach and a short walk to the Old Town. Internet is very spotty, and practically non-existent in the hotel room. Frustrating if you need to get anything done while on business. Very nice Concierge, helpful with restaurant and dinner bookings.

Dear canada1210,

Thank you for your feedback. I’m sorry to have to disagree with you but we prefer to call our hotel an “historic hotel” rather than an “old hotel”. Despite its over a century history, the hotel was completely renewed last year and facilities are completely new. We also upgraded our wifi service. If this is not enough for high occupancy period in some areas of the hotel be sure that I’ll take any step needed.

Best regards,

Elena

We chose Hotel de Londres y de Inglaterra from the internet, based on two factors; its location and the "breakfast included" room-price. The hotel personnel were very friendly and courteous, The first room we were first assigned (614) had very resticted cupboard space and on my request we were given 609, which was a very comfourtable room. Especially the presence of a bidet in the bathhroom, a very rare occurrence in European Hotels, was a very welcome feature.

I would strongly recommend this hotel as a first choice in San Sebastian.

Seymur ACAR, Istanbul, Turkey,

Room Tip: Choose a room overlooking the Concha Bay, especially Room No: 607. We stayed in 609, but 607 is slightly larger. It has a very good view of the bay, is relatively more quiet and does not get direct facade lighting.

Excellent location overlooking the water. Best feature was certainly the Concierge. Virginia was iur guide on the Pinxtos Tour and she is passionate about the Bars and the food & wine. Also spent time with Gabriella learning how to cook the Pinxtos... felt like family from the moment we walked through the door.
The accomodations are superb and all staff are friendly and wanting to make our stay special. San Sebastian is a special town. Hotel Londres is perfect.

This hotel is all about the location. It is perfect to walk to the old town (parte vieja) or just walk at the beach (Bahia de la Concha). Both places are very beautiful.
The hotel has a great architecture. The rooms are well kept, very clean and comfortable. The bathroom is very spacious and clean.
The staff at the front desk was always very nice and helpful.
Breakfast was expensive. So we decided to explore other places around the city.
San Sebastian is all about the Pintxos (tapas). Amazing food!
