“Good location ”
Reviewed 26 August 2014 via mobile

Parking was expensive - 60€ but secure and close so long as you're a good driver and not nervous as its very tight and underground!
Hotel is one street back from the magificent promenade and the breakfast and rooms were very comfortable. Freshly squeezed orange juice and coffee were good.
Manned front desk on the first floor 24 hrs and small lift if necessary

Located in an ideal part of town two blocks from the beautiful Concha beach and promenade, the hotel is surrounded by old apartment buildings and small commercial establishments along street level… quaint but charming. It is a half-mile walk to old town where innumerable tapas (pintxos) bars can be found. Also located a 10 minute walk to the train station as well as a 20 minute walk to the bus station where you can catch the bus to Bilbao one hour away. The hotel room was small but adequate, although the bed was extremely hard. The tiny bath included a bidet. The walls were thin and neighbors could be heard but it did not seem obtrusive. Likewise our 2nd floor window overlooked a busy street but traffic died down after 11 pm and the noise was not obtrusive. The receptionists spoke English and were very friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: Our third floor room did a wonderful job of dampening the street noise below.

We were pleasantly surprised to stumble across this B&B near the main beach!
The reception staff were helpful and accommodating, the room we were offered large clean and very well appointed. As for the price - well its extremely good value for money!

Hotel was vey close to beach and town with places to eat. On the down side nowhere to park outside to unload baggage if you have a car and parking was expensive at 20E a day. The people were friendly and helpful, breakfast was nice, basic and reasonably priced. The room we had was the smallest on the floor and was hard to move around in as there wasn't anywhere to unpack. It did have small balcony and window which opened over street which allowed ventilation as there was no a/c. hotel is part of an apartment block and had been redesigned on a couple of floors. It was very noisy when people walked up and down stairs and we could hear people on either side of us so not well soundproofed.

Room Tip: Ask for a big room so you can move around with luggage.

A 'boutique' style hostal - room was very comfortable and modern with all that you could need - including a good range of toiletries (sewing kit appreciated!) - one of the better decked out hostal (or hotel) we've stayed in. Our room was directly outside the reception desk and overlooked the street - with a nice view. No noise from the reception area but there is a a bit of street noise so be prepared to deal with the late night revellers coming along the street. Location is perfect for walking around San Sebastian and is close to restaurants, shopping and the beach. We were able to easily walk to the train station with our luggage from here too. Perfect if only staying a few days in San Sebastian and really just need somewhere to sleep. Lacks a bit of atmosphere so not really a place you would be hanging out.

Room Tip: our room overlooked the street - nice view but expect a little late night noise from the locals leav...

This is one of the nicest "hostels" I've been to. It is located just a few meters from "La Concha beach" the biggest beach in the city and rooms are comfortable and modern. In the room you have a TV set, a mini bar, a trouser press, and air conditioning and sometimes a great balcony. The street in front of the hotel is a bit noise, specially if your room is located near the street. The personnel was very helpful and nice! If I go back to St. Sebastian this summer I will choose this hostel. A great price and a great experience.

Room Tip: If your room is located just in front of the street, take some earplug protection

Really smart hostal, very clean and modern rooms, even had a trouser press! Maybe overpriced for a hostal though. We were with friends and both the bedrooms were affected by outside street noise. It was perfectly placed for the beach and the old town and shopping. We had breakfast at the place which was adequate. We also used their garage facilities as our car was loaded up after returning from the UK after Christmas so we wanted to keep our car and belongings safe. The garage was just a block away under another hotel but cost us 20€. We loved San Sebastian and would certainly recommend the hotel as the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: Ask if possible for a room not overlooking the road if you want a good nights sleep or bring earplug...
