We had a lovely time ordering from the kitchen. I can recommend all the dishes we had:

Cheese and Walnut Croquette
Shrimp and Bacon Skewer
Patatas Alioli
Fried Chicken
Beef Cheeks
Squid Trikuharri

Way on the other side of the bay from Old Town, in Ondaretta, near the NH Arazazu Hotel – lively tapas bar plus a sit-down dining room that takes reservations (recommended) – very good food & prompt service – opens a little earlier than most places (7:30), and we suggest getting there early, because by 8:30 it was VERY crowded – just like all the other bars on that block (on a Wednesday night!)

Pintxos, broschetas, local atmosphere, someone who really cares in the kitchen and friendly staff! We had to go here twice.

What a fantastic meal we had prawn pintxos delicious and hake and pork main courses fabulous. Staff so friendly would definitely recommend

This is the best place we ate at in the area. Reserve a table if possible. Food exceptional, friendly service. Not expensive. They really appreciate it if you can speak a few words of Basque.
We walked past on the way to see the fireworks every night, and this place was rockin' every night.
