“Top-notch service - unbeatable views”
Reviewed 29 July 2013

We called for a reservation on the same evening we planned on going and we were given a table that was right overlooking the beach. Unbeatable. We arrived before sundown, and left after dark.

Our server was one of the best I've had in Spain. She even first attended us in Spanish, which often doesn't happen as just the night before in Casanita we were served in Italian or English.
She was aware, kind and keen on assuring that we were happy. After recommending dishes to us, she'd come back while we were eating them to see if we were enjoying the meal (we were!).

This restaurant is very straightforward; unlike Casanita where there were fantastic daily specials, here there was "just" what was on the menu, but the menu was very good. As an appetizer, we ordered the hummus that had chopped olives and octopus on top (even though I'm not a fan of octopus, I thought it was very good) and then I ordered a fish (dorada) and my husband ordered filet mignon (I tried it and can attest that it was delicous too). For dessert we ordered ice-cream to split between the both of us. You get 4 scoops so we chose three and the waitress suggested the 4th... a ricotta cheese ice cream (I think it was with figs) and it was, surpisingly to me, THE BEST!

The views while you're dining (if you get there like us at 9:30pm) are amazing and it really makes the experience all the better.

“Tasty food, generous portions”
Reviewed 19 August 2012

Nice beachfront location - excellent people watching if you sit outside. Lunch today was very nice - homemade tagliatelli with a tomato sauce was good (I suppose it would have to be, with so many Italian tourists in Formentera) and my partner's tuna salad was massive and fresh. Couple of cokes and the bill came to EUR 40. Waiter was friendly and efficient.

“Sack the manager”
Reviewed 27 July 2012

Whoever manages this place should change jobs. The first 15 minutes were catastrophic: we had to ask for menus and then menus in english. The atmosphere was Fawltey Towers, young and pretty servers who had no idea how to give sevice. The cocktails were a disaster: we ordered Dry Martinis that were syrupy sweet and disgusting. HOWEVER, the waitress we were given was friendly and eager to help but sadly lacking in technical skills. She saved the evening. We chose Tapas and these were good. The desserts were not so good with some strange tasting ice cream. After some discussion we gave 5.3 marks out of ten and 3 out of 4 of us said we would not be coming back.
