“great little town”
Reviewed 23 August 2012

lovely picturesque town with a beautiful beach. Great waterside restaurants next to the board walk which runs alongside the restaurants and beach all the way along this stretch on beach.

“For town location, pretty nice”
Reviewed 6 August 2012

considering the location in front of the main promenade where all nightlife takes place etc.... the turq water is very inviting and the beach pretty clean especially in front of the little island bit that we swam out to.

Crowdy, but if you go to playa de Rocueta, you find more space, and the area with cleat, blue wather, combined with rockes is beautiful. Naturist beach

“Typical seaside resort”
Reviewed 3 June 2012

If you want soft sand calm, sea (usually) and lots of cafe's /restaurants in the daytime, lots of shops as well, some now quite trendy, then this is the place. It can be quite lively in the evenings as there are quite a few nightspots for the younger generation to enjoy.

“A fine sand beach thats safe for the kids.”
Reviewed 20 September 2011

It is about 30 feet to the very warm sea at its narrowist and a small island lies some 300yds from the shore, the length widens considerably within 600yds to the left but it is almost entirely covered with sunbeds (£17 for 2 beds a umbrella) add to this that about 7 coach loads of folks are dumped onto this beach every day from Ibiza then you can start to understand the congestion that happens, my advice is get away from this beach if you can.One of the alternatives is to walk to the left to the end of the bay, you pick up a well laid boardwalk after 200yds, take this for about 10 mins and find yourself going past a small Bay/harbour walk to the next boardwalk and 50yds on you will find abig widish beach which is far quieter, nudists go here; they know the best places. You have to help yourselves and drag your pilledup sunbeds into your preferred location but the sea is wonderfully clear and eventually a hippy type reject will come and take your money; you have to ask him for an umbrella and if he is up to it he will bring it to you.But you may well have to set it up yourslf, he also sells beer and soft drink. There is one other advantage to plonking down on this beach, the cost of the beach apparatus is cheaper (Beds etc) its only £13 Ummm. They seemed to have set an overall price for these things all over the island, apart from this beach; but this is self-service unless your lucky and you can catch him between cans!!!The water quality of the sea is phenomenal due to this island luckly having the largest Sea Grass plantation around its shores. Its a UNESCO envioroment site.Ive been in clean seas all over the world, Maldives, etc but none of those far of places stands a candle up to this so well protected by nature reserve, and its in the Med!!!!!
