“Beautiful area of the island”

Reviewed 19 April 2014

We visited Sant elm on our first day here. Lovely place with a beach bars & restaurants. Parking was 3.50 euros all day, & in the shade. we stopped all day we walked up though the town to the end where you get a view of Dragon island to which you can get a boat, 9 euros I think. Loads of cyclists there so beware round the bends if you are driving.

we went there in April, BEAUTIFUL weather, starting in St Elm, driving down to Soller, beautiful drive with many cute villages on the way.... YES a bit touristic (but after all... mallorca IS touristic), however everyone VERY friendly, good food and easy-going. stunning landscape. If you go by car - be aware of the cyclists! If you have strong legs - go by BIKE! stop at the viewpoints, stop for coffee, lunch etc... it's worth it :) drive down to the beach at some points, you can find some true gems here!!!!

This is the most spectacular part of the island and makes for a great drive, in either direction. The views are fantastic and there are some delightful villages en route such as Banyulbufar, Estellencs and Deia.

The stunning scenery took my breath away, Many towering peaks and sheltered bays. Caters for tourists very efficiently. People very friendly. Do not miss a chance to explore this area.
