When you are hungry and surrounded by fast food its a terrible temptation to stop and not have a little adventure but I am so glad that I did. Just across from the station in Palma and worth those extra steps. Lovely food and great service for lunch. Go inside and you will also see that they have a garden area to eat in.

I ate a good pizza. A true Neapolitan pizza in Palma. Besides the pizza was ordered grilled octopus, very good too. Too bad that the prices are high, but it is a tourist route and visited and it is normal. It is normal that the octopus was just a part of a tentacle. Not even a whole tentacle. less than one hundred grams! He deserves a vote more for the kitchen, but portions and service are not the same level

We went to Mamma Mia following a recommendation from a friend, and now it has become a Palma favorite. Though tucked away in a slightly obscure side street (behind Placa de Quadrado), it is well worth the find. The owners Maxim and Sergio are about the nicest, friendliest people you will ever meet and their food is always fresh, inventive, beautifully presented, yet with a touch of comfort Italian home cooking. The restaurant itself is very clean, nicely decorated, and inviting... be sure to ask Maxim about his collection of memorabilia displayed throughout.

We have just returned from a week in Palma in Majorca. We were staying in an apartment in the centre of the old town and decided it would be great not to cook. We tried many of the restaurants in the area which we found to range from awful to good. The Mammamia was the find of the holiday. Although it is tucked away in a side street it is worth the effort of finding it. The food is of Italian origin, freshly cooked, with local fish ,meats and vegetables by the chef owner who really has a passion for food. The prices of the food are acceptable as is the price wine.
