Again, we stumbled upon this hidden gem while wandering through the backstreets of Palma on empty stomachs that refused to settle for the touristy replicas of authentic city cuisine. We needed the real deal in an atmosphere that exuded local charm while protecting us from the searing midday heat – and the Santa Eulalia did just that. Upon entering the restaurant, we soon realized that it was a pretty popular joint as we had to wait nearly half an hour to get a table. From what I observed, regular patrons seemed to be given seating priorities which, though annoying, was understandable as being a small town boy, this was how a lot of the coffee shops worked back home (in a sort of “blood is thicker than water” kind of way). We opted to have the two-course lunch set that came at a bargain for just 10 euros. For starters, we had a choice of either a salad or a pasta dish while for the main course we had the option of a meat or a seafood dish. Complimentary desserts were fixed – a tarta or slice of cake – but even for that, we could choose the flavours we wanted… Simply amazing! The casual atmosphere kept us in conversation throughout the course of the meal and we ended up closing down the place. To say it was a great afternoon is an understatement.

Lovely little restaurant next to the church of the same name. Food was a bit of a disappointment, only tried the menu del dia. Waiter spent more time outside with a cigarette!
Pity as the place was cosy, well decorated. Didn't take the postres and they still charged for the coffee.

Attracted by the cozy environment we tried this little restaurant at the side of Santa Eulalia church.
To our disappointment the food eas really bad. It was clearly not fresh and warmed up, badly by the way as in some parts it wasn't.
To make it worse the service was bad and unfriendly.....all for a way to high price.
Try some other of the plenty places in the area and avoid this cocina madrilena!

Right in the centre of the old town of Palma, in a charming alley right next to the Santa Eulalia Church is this very nice restaurant. My friend and I had lunch here twice during our week in Palma and enjoyed our meals very much.

The menu is written on a chalk board and you have a choice betwee 5 or 6 starters, main courses and deserts. There are also set menues for lunch and these are very affordable. The food is local and some of the dishes are traditional, like braised legs of piglets. There are lots of less adventuous choices too.

We found vegetaran options for every meal and the staff were very willing to find the dishes that were suitable to my allergies.

The restaurant was virtually empty so there was no atmosphere - and the special tapas menu not good at all. Everything was wrong - the taste, the portion sizes, the quality etc. One of us chose a fish dish which was overcooked and not fresh.
