“Lovely no BS authentic tapas bar”
Reviewed 9 April 2014 via mobile

After failing to goto another restaurant recommended by TA (some places are closed on Tuesday), we decided to drop into this place and risk it. And my, it was quite a find!

I was slightly intimidated at first sight as it's not that well maintained on the outside, decor was minimal. But the food, the lovely food really shined through. We had prawns in garlic, seafood salad, liver, bacalao courqettes, meatballs and a bottle of house red. All tasted fresh and properly put together. Especially loved the courqettes and liver. Wine was decent and when asked for the bill, we had a couple of free shots on the house too, nice touch.

Bill for 2 including wine, 6 tapas and tips came to €60 which was a bargain in that area.

Definitely recommend.

“down and dirty”
Reviewed 6 April 2014

Its not that dirty, just a bit rustic, almost spit and sawdust but it feels wonderfully authentic, the atmosphere is brilliant, the food inexpensive with a different special every day. We tried to order a couple of dishes but ended up having 6 or so. It was delicious.
Loved the wine billing - you ask for a glass but get a bottle, drink what you want and return it and you're billed for what you have.
The half chicken and chips is legendary.
Kid friendly too!

“Great tapas”
Reviewed 19 February 2014

This is a no nonsense tapas bar with no pretensions but the food is fantastic and the service quick and friendly. The house wine is great - don't bother with the more expensive stuff and the atmosphere is lively. Get there early as you won't be the only one wanting to eat there!
