The station cafe is right in front of you when you get off the tren from Palma, yet hardly any of the daytrippers stop here and have a drink which is a shame because it is a great spot.
It is quiet, has good views of the station, mountains and down to the main square in Soller. The cafe is huge inside with about 10 tables on an outdoor terrace, coffee is good and the prices are OK. It's a great spot to peoplewatch, drink a Kas bitters and do your crossword as the train comes in and passengers get off and wander around like lost sheep looking for the tram stop, happens 7 times a day in summer.
The staff are friendly and efficient, there is a public toliet just down the main steps AND a free exhibition of Jean Miros work, a local artist and protegee of Pablo Picasso.
