Had dinner here on a Wednesday in the middle of July, based on the excellent reviews on Tripadvisor. Needless to say, we were not disappointed! We had booked a table for 20.45 the night before, but this was hardly necessary, as we occupied the only other table in the restaurant. By 10 o'clock, however, the restaurant was full.
We ordered only tapas, 4 each per person, which were between 2.50 and 3.80 euros (the most expensive being the foie gras). Of these, the pata candy (meatball-like concoction with an apricot and cloves sauce) and the grilled foie gras with ginger jam were the real stand-outs, and (at the risk of sounding like Jamie Oliver) among the best single dishes I have ever had! However, all of the dishes were simply explosiobs of flavour and were very well compsed and balanced.
For dessert, we had the baked pineapple with coconut chips and yoghurt and the cheesecake, which were both very good. Altogether, the bill for 8 tapas, two dessert, a bottle of white wine and a bottle of water came at 56 euro, which I consider to be quite the steal for a dinner like the one we had at Ummo! I heartily recommend this restaurant to all food lovers stayi
