“Visiting this place is a must”
Reviewed 23 May 2014 via mobile

This is a simple, yet traditional, and nice place. You come here for their tasty water-based ice cream and their "ensaïmades" and "quarto". I tasted the Almonds and the Hazelnut flavors and they were both super tasty.

This place is so famous and traditional that many locals come often, therefore you should really not miss this experience if you ever come to Mallorca.

The place is a bit hidden and tends to be packed, they accept reservations so if you are planning to come in a huge group you should probably make some reservations first.

“A must visit for breakfast”
Reviewed 20 April 2014 via mobile

Pastries here are fabulous and so is the lively atmosphere for breakfast. There always seems to be a large group in when we have visited and the noise adds to the experience. I've never had ice cream for breakfast but plenty of people seem to but as a family we've worked our way through all of the pastry options and the coffees. Decor fantastic and worth the trip into this part of old Palma

“An impartial point of view”

TIPS:

- try the plain ensaimadas, and also the apricot, cream and sobrasada (this one is savoury, with chorizo paste)

- have a nice thick hot chocolate

THE GOOD: truly the best ensaimadas in the whole of Mallorca. Hands down. They have no competition at this level. There's no point even comparing. It's like having an amazing cappuccino in the old part of Bologna in Italy and comparing it to your local Starbucks around the corner.

THE BAD: it's usually crowded. But if you go outside of peak times you can get a seat by the window and relax indulging in the gorgeous ensaimadas.

“Les millora ensaïmades i gelats/The best ensaïmades and ice creams”
Reviewed 18 April 2014 via mobile

This is one of the most typical place in Palma and it offers a very high quality food.

There are normally some queus but it's totally worth it.

There I truelly recomend you to order an ensaimada (they are very cheap, around 1,2€) and an ice cream. Strawberry, almound and apricot ice cream are delicious.

“Just as good as last time”
Reviewed 12 April 2014

We revisited this great coffe house when back in Palma this year, it is always a challenge to find, but well worth it , the endaimadas were fantastic, fresh and light, and the coffe was perfect. Its very nice to be somewhere traditional and not at all touristy, when ever We have been there are plenty of locals in there. I hear the ice cream is excellent and will be sampling this on my next visit here. Its a great stop off when exploring the old town in Palma.
