I stayed at this unique hotel last June. First of all, GREAT location! Basically in the center of everything, a short walk to where ever you want to go!
The rooms are nice, good sized, and what I would call modern trendy minimalist. We had a balcony overlooking the street with great views. The bed was ok...I like soft, plush beds, but this was more firm and very low to the ground. Now to the strange part...every morning this awful smell would, I suppose, creap up fron the plumbing...what a wake-up call!!! We would have to hold our noses to QUICKLY get ready and leave for the day. Wow! It really was bad...it would go away in a few hours but there was a little lingering musty smell. When we told the staff, they acted like they didn't know what we were talking about and said they would "tell the maid to use air freshener" Hmmm...air freshener wouldn't touch this stinch, my friend. I think it was probably just island plumbing, and it is no reason not to stay here...but be warned of the smell so you won't think your toilet is overflowing every morning :)
My favorite part of the hotel is the spa...it's small, but really enjoyable. There is a beautiful hot tub, sauna, steam room, massage shower, and heated lounge chairs. The staff did come yell at us for leaving the steam room door open too long...apparently there is an alarm at the front desk...
This hotel is probably best for young couples or singles looking for a fun hotel with not a lot of frills included! Don't go here if you are looking for lavish service.

The hotel is sited on the edge of the historic city, maybe 10 minutes walk away from the cathedral. So it is very convenient for historic and cultural Palma, as well as shops and restuarants. The No 1 line airport bus stops in the street outside. It is a big modern block with a definite modern art decor - the lounge has a collection of art books to browse. Reception was efficient and friendly.

I had asked especially for a quiet room and was given one at the back. That meant a view of the backs of blocks opposite. The road at the front is a main road but does not seem to be particularly noisy so I think my my concern was unnecessary. Rooms at the front have a balcony and a pleasanter view out over the river to house fronts on the other side. If I came again I would ask for a room at the front.

Rooms are large. Lighting is pleasant, but not that bright for reading. The big television had two English language channels, Sky News and Russia Television. There were also pay films in English. The room had a safe for €3 a day. Clean - room was made up by mid-morning.

Bathroom was spacious enough. Dispensers of OK liquid soap/shampoo/shower gel. Supplies: razor, toothbrush, comb, tissues (not replenished). Clean.

Breakfast was a particularly good buffet: fruit salad, fruit, cereals, omelette, breads, cake, poor orange juice and good coffee. Breakfast room is relatively small and gets full at peak times, but there are also tables outside on the pavement.

I've just returned from a three night stay in the Jaime, and found the stay enjoyable.
The room in the hotel was spacious, with 3 single beds, two of which were pushed together to make a double bed - there was a modern, clean bathroom with an overbath shower. I found the bed in the room very comfortable, however noise in the hotel between floors and between rooms was evident at times, especially in the evening, which meant it could be a little difficult to get to sleep.
We didn't have breakfast at the hotel, as it was a bit overpriced at 10 euros - we instead ate at nearby cafes (there are plenty very near hotel), there are also some good eating places for evening meal/lunch nearby. Everything in the city is within walking distance - about 20 mins to the cathedral, you can also walk to beach just past the cathdral which was very nice. As well as exploring the city, went to soller on train from plama, and went to illetas on bus from opposite the hotel-there's a lovely beach there. Bus also very handy from the airport and stops right outside the hotel (route 1).
I would recommend this hotel and would stay again due to the location, also the very friendly and helpful staff - if I went again though I would take a travel kettle as there isn't one in the room.

Great location, decor, Value for money average - noise travels a lot in the hotel - wooden floors, which was a shame. Also sauna/spa tiny and difficult to get in on your own.

Good for both business and pleasure. Walking distance to everything. The bed was rock hard and I was homesick for our Carpe Diem bed. For being a 4-star hotel is the bed worthless.
Nice with the sauna, but there is no gym, just 2-3 OLD broken machines..
Breakfast OK but it could easily be so much better.
- Just some vegetables, for instance fresh tomato and cucumber to but on a sandwhich, omelette (!! not awful scrambled eggs without any taste), fresh juice and slightly different flavors of yogurt had made a big difference..

the jaime iii is definately worth considering if you are planning on staying in the centre of palma. we just got back from there, the rooms are modern and clean and have everything you need. Its 1 min walk form el corte ingles and the main only a few minuted further to all the narrow shopping street that form a maze of shops of all types in palma. Nightlife in la lonja area ( max 10 mins walk) is good with a variety for all from loud bars to cosy little tapas places. If you are going do the 13 euros bus hop on hop off tour bus. You will get to see everything and its worth getting off and porto pi shopping centre.
I would recommend this hotel and on our next trip to Palma would stay there again. Palma is a beautiful city and well worth a visit.

My two teenage children and I stayed. i rented two rooms to give my son some privacy, but the three twin beds and the size of the room,i could have just used one room. The front desk was very helpful with my numerous questions. The bus stop right across the street made airport travel very easy. Also, use the tour bus, it is amazing how they get that huge bus through those tiny streets! Great visit.
