The hotel is perfectly located - 5 minute walk to the centre of the old town and marina and round the corner from one of the main shopping streets. Lovely clean room with balcony. As everyone has said, the rooftop pool is always heaving but the ground floor pool is quieter. Great views from rooftop. Didn't eat in the hotel but bar attached (next door) is lovely with outside seating. Would definitely stay here again.

Very pleasantly surprised at the standard of this hotel. Lovely big rooms, complete with a bar fridge, bonus in Europe. Lovely spacious bathroom, very modern and importantly very clean. Top floor pool is tiny and basically to be avoided unless you are prepared to get up early and reserve your spot, but the pool by reception is great with a vast area down some stairs for that sun lazing. We had a drink at the jazz bar but found the service was a little slow, but the view is worth the wait. Reception were friendly and helpful but sometimes the wait time was rather long. We did not eat at the hotel so cannot comment on the food. The location is fabulous as it is downtown Palma with easy walks to bars restaurants and shopping. Would totally recommend this hotel and will stay again next time I am in Palma.

Majorca did very big efforts over the last years to create new hotels with incredibly inventive interior design. I tried a few and I must say I made great discoveries. But there is often more than one disadvantage when it comes to Boutique hotels. Particularly regarding the service. Based on a minimalistic approach, you just miss some help here and have a long way to go to the pool there. So, I've chosen Saratoga Hotel, knowing it wouldn't be the top of innovative creation. But I was quite surprised that it was better in the end than imagined. The junior suite I had on the ground floor was just perfect and quite more modern in style than the entrance hall of the hotel. With a big terrace just near the pool, and some quiet sun seats on the huge breakfast terrace, you could avoid the stress with shouting children in most of the middle of august venues. Talking about breakfast, this has a big buffet and nothing is missing, even if the disposal is the same day by day, which is a bit boring when you stay for more than a week. The pool terrace on the roof is definitely a bit small in this season, but it's quite sexy, as well as the jazz club on 7th floor, which has a very good entertaining on week-end evenings. Best of all in this house, and it should be mentioned and re-mentioned, is the service, particularly at the reception. As well the waiters and room mates are very friendly and helpful, all smiling and quite in high number. You're always having a reference person at the smallest inquiry ... to mention as well the exceptional situation for somebody who wants to explore the city. The historical center at one side, the nice Santa Catalina center with market and restaurants on the other, the port just in front of you and the fantastic Esbaluard Museum just a few steps besides. All in all, yes, even if I'm more in design places, I'd come back to this one, because it just has all advantages united... even if there is an effort to do with the wifi, you always have to renew the check in and with the net that goes lost every 10 or 15 minutes...

Room Tip: toujours opter pour le junior suite, de préférence au rez-de chaussée , entre numéro 16 et.... 30? Les terrasses y sont géantes...

The Saratoga, is situated just off the main shopping street in the centre of Palma. It is close to the marina, lots of good restuarants and bars and on the main bus route from the airport. Hotel is clean, with friendly helpful staff, good rooms, a very nice rooftop terrace with pool, although you have the usual, leaving of towels on loungers from early morning to reserve a space here! and a ground floor area for sun bathing with a small pool.
Breakfast is excellent, although a litte expensive, wifi is a little intermittent, beautiful park area nearby.

Room Tip: Dont get a taxi at 20+ euros from airport, get the number ! bus. It stops fifty yards fronm the hotel.

Starting with great points :
- the location. The hotel is well located in Palma, very close to all shoppings streets, marina, bus stations etc.
Easy to come from airport with taxi (less than 20euros)
- staff at the reception : very friendly and helpful
- rooftop + piscine + bar
and that's all...!
I was quite disappointed with the 6 nights spent in a superior room.
Bathroom was disappointing & old
Amenities were very poor and I always needed to refill by myself... (shampoo, soaps, no cotton swabs.. very useful when you spent all day at the beach..)
No tea bags and no kettle in the room. I personnally don't care but with air conditionning everywhere, you may become sick quickly... and a hot tea before going to sleep will not be useless!
Don't count on in room wifi, at any time per day. Not good at all if you're on a business trip or even to plan your daily activities.. (we are in 2014... come on..)

I'm not the kind of complaining person and I needed not much to enjoy my overall stay in Palma. But for me this hotel does not deserve its 4 stars at the moment.. Maybe in a near future, but these small details can make the difference.

Room Tip: don't expect to have great wifi in your room unless you stay in the corridor.
