A stunning position in this lovely town. There are two main altars, one by Gaudi which one can only describe as "weird" typical over the top Gaudi, but a must see. Numerous chapels on both sides each of which must have taken someone's lifetime to complete. Lots of tour parties, but we just wandered around and took photos (no flash allowed). You can hire a head set with audio commentary. Some renovation taking place so temporary toilets. 6 Euros to get in. A must see if in Palma.

very large, very ornate, very busy, very historical.
takes an hour or more to tour.
need a guide to explain the interesting history behind some of the decorations

The architecture of the building in itself is amazing, but just seeing it from outside is missing out on an incredible treasure and memorable visit. It is well worth the 6 Euros, but you need time - at least 2 hours - to really take in everything that is important - starting from the Gaudi art, the magnificant stained-glass windows, art and artifacts.

Beautiful stain glass windows that glow bright with colour as the sun shines through, just stunning! Not something that small children would appreciate.

If you enjoy exploring then walking around Palma and taking in the smaller churches is much more worthwhile. The catherdral should be visited if you have time but it's quite expensive at 6 euros (small churches were all free) and full of other tourists
