This is a decent mall of some 150 shops on the outskirts of Palma. It's easy to get to - the regular no 3 bus is just one of some five or six services which regularly connect to Porto Pi and it has both ample car parking (first two hours free) and a massive cab rank outside, too.

It's anchored by a huge Carrefour which offers cheap prices and very average service and it also has the usual European range of shopping centre stores: Zara, Massimo Dutti, Bershka, Pull and Bear, Disney, Game Store. It also has a cinema.

Its main weakness is in its food offer which is depressingly fast food in style, though the Diablito restaurant tucked away at the back of the complex overlooking the harbour was a good find - cheap and tasty (though service was again poor). And its public toilets - unusually for Mallorca - were a disgrace.

Nonetheless, we like Porto Pi, and it's a good alternative for teenage children who don't want to do the 'culture thing' when it's raining!

Porto Pi is a decent sized indoor shopping mall about a ten or fifteen minute walk from the cruise ship and ferry terminal. It has a large Carrefour downstairs, and numerous clothing stores scattered around its two floors. My wife didn't bring her swimsuit and was able to pick one up while my son bought a local SIM card for his phone (Vodafone, Orange and Carrefour all sell them there). There is free WiFi around the mall, though spotty. McDonalds downstairs has their own, strong WiFi, a great alternative to paying cruise ship Internet access prices.

While Porto Pi won't knock your socks off as a stellar shopping mall, of all the ports we visited along our Western Mediterranean cruise, this was the most convenient shopping for simple items that one may have forgotten to bring along or discovered a need for. We just asked the taxi driver to drop us off there instead of the terminal at the end of our day in town, and walked the short way back. It may look like it's impossible to cross over the expressway to get to the water side, but if you keep walking towards the terminal, you'll find appropriate, safe places to cross over.

If coming maybe from Europe, that will be Ok shops.
But if coming from USA (where shoppings are not that expensive) is not worth it.

I may say is a place to go, when you want to shop a little, and specially on a very hot day, when you want some Air Conditioner!!!

The Porto Pi Centro Commercial overlooking the Port of Palma de Mallorca is a busy and bustling commercial centre. Had to cross over the Port, across the street and climb up a few steps across the residential blocks and there you have it. The Commercial centre is spread out over ground floor, three basement and one extensive 1st floor area. You have a number of branded outlets, a great salon and exhaustive designer labels across the entire place. The best part however is the Carrefour in the basement. It is humoungous and offers a great variety. You also have a gorgeous American Country Diner with Free Wi Fi and just across the road are a number of eating options including Macdonalds and pharmacies. You can spend a lot of time in here either emptying out your entire pocket or just window shopping.

Bit tired and empty looking. We had lovely paella and food wasn't over priced but wouldn't rush back.
