My partner and i have just returned from a 4 day break From Palma and the tryp Belver hotel ! Ive read all comments on this hotel and how ever anyone can leave negative comments in beyond me ! We found the hotel to be fantastic. Cleanliness of the hotel is first class, the breakfast was great to suit everyones tastes, the staff were so very nice and helpful. On arrival we were offered a sea view with no extra charge our room was on the second floor we never heard any noise it was quiet and comfortable. I would highly recomend this hotel to anyone. Its an ideal hotel harbour bars a must just opposite the hotel.lovely restaurants to the left when you come out the hotel. Another must is go to Soller by the train from the center 28 euros per person return that includes the tram but spend some time in soller its self lovely little town and the most gorgeous church i have ever seen go in and have a look breath taking,

Room Tip: second floor sea view no noise were we were

We stayed in this hotel as we were unfortunate to miss our flights, but I am not sure why it has a 3* rating - it should be at least 4*. The room was massive - it had another room with twin beds for the children who had their own balcony and a room for the adults with a balcony. We wished we had spent the whole holiday here! The reception staff were really nice and professional and spoke very good English. As our flights were leaving very early in the morning, we didn't have time for breakfast.

If we go back to Spain, we will definitely stay here again!

Room Tip: We had family room and it was very large and very clean with a large balcony overlooking the pool...

Stayed fri-sun for mine and friends birthdays. €20 in a taxi from the airport, around 14 minutes. Hotel was nice and clean, check in was horrendous, staff were rude and told us we had to wait extra hour for our rooms to be ready. We went to the bar, had some drinks, returned, told still not ready come back in one hour. We then got annoyed asked to see the manager all of a sudden all 3 rooms ready. Magic! Nice pool however quite hard to get a lounger. Rooms are good beds nice. No water from shower at 7:30pm and other room no hot water. Excellent location, room 711 is a standard room but had a nice view of the marina. Hotel tried to charge us for use of minibar when we didn't even know there was one there! One thing I would have liked was tea making facilities in the room.

We have just returned from a 10 night stay at the Tryp Bellvere in Palma Majorca. Having stayed in many other 4 star hotels throughout Majorca this one in our opinion is average. The reasons being:

It is most definitely not a 4 star regarding half board! AVOID HALF BOARD JUST GO FOR B&B.

On our first night half hoard we were given a snack bar menu! We were amazed to be told that that was the menu! A snack bar menu for 10 nights! No buffet meals. Fish soup was just one of the starters on offer, no other soup available! The other starters were poor too. There was not much choice with the main meals either, especially if you don't like fish, just steak, or a burger! A burger for an evening meal in a 4 star hotel! Not acceptable! The gentleman serving us stank of smoke and sweat, a polite man, but still not acceptable at a 4 star hotel.

We immediately complained and was told that was their A la Carte menu! I laughed and said no it wasn't and that a snack bar menu is not what we class as a 4 star hotel meal! They just said that was it! I said I would not class this 4 star and never stag there again! I asked for a refund of our half board money and they said we had to contact our booking team (Alpha rooms). (They did not seem bothered that we were complaining and what they were offering for half board was good! .......NOT!) We did this straight away and they were fantastic! They contacted the hotel and we got a full refund of our half board the following day. We could then enjoy our evening meals out. Breakfasts was excellent with a good choice available. A sea view us a must!

With regards to the rest of our stays the room size was just about sufficient, but not a brilliant size for the amount of money we had paid. I know it's in the capital but still! The pool was an adequate size but the tiles could do with tidying up around the inside of the pool.

Bathroom was quite nice, but the soap dispenser in the shower was not filled.

The rooms were far from sound proof. With the hotel being on a busy road ideally the patio doors need to be more sound proof. Ear plugs required. Air conditioning worked a treat and free safe too. Free Wifi also which worked pretty fast.

The majority of the staff were very pleasant and helpful.

Hotel is in a good location to explore Palma.

Some lovely restaurants in Palma but look around, some excellent Tapas bars.

Overall a good average stay.

BUT BE WARNED AVOID HALF BOARD! A 4 STAR IT IS NOT WITH REGARD TO HALF BOARD.

Room Tip: Sea view is a must! Don't do half board!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel, the staff were very helpful and friendly, great location for the marina and the pool area is lovely!

The only downside was the squeaky beds which creaked everytime you moved but we didn't bother complaining about that as the rest of the stay was so amazing and once we were in a deep sleep it didnt matter.

We had a great view - but you must request a superior view and pay a premium room rate; otherwise you have to hope for an available upgrade. The room was fine and the harbor location is desirable. General service is good, however, we were disappointed when trying to book a reservation for a boat ride; the hotel does not have a designated staff member who knows what to do and they refrain from properly booking tour reservations because they are not receiving a commission. We therefore were misguided and were totally disappointed when we were not properly prepared to take the boat tour. We had to change our plans at the very last minute and find something else to do. How could a hotel chain skimp on having this service - a poor decision on their part - especially since tourism is their primary income!!! In addition, we traveled in 8 different cities, on this vacation; this was the only hotel that had the internet connection timed. We had to keep logging on throughout our internet experience and throughout our stay at the hotel - it was quite annoying!!! This hotel is more concerned about the corporate bottom line instead of happy and appreciative customers!!!

Room Tip: Ask for a corner room on a high floor facing the cathedral and marina - Room 607 is a great choice!

The hotel is good! I have stayed here three nights during a business trip. There is a very good buffet breakfast. The only point is, the restaurant opens at 07:30 which is a bit late. If you are in Palma for a couple of days, take this hotel in consideration.
