Ate here yesterday with my girlfriend during a holiday in Spain. Absolutely stunning location within the marina in Palma, overlooking some very impressive vessels. The decor is fantastic both inside and out, and the attention to detail is evident, not least in the nautical theme. I would thoroughly recommend dining in the outdoor section of the restaurant.
We enjoyed our lunch very much and found the staff to be impeccably trained, along with smiles and laughs - fantastic ambassadors of the business. The food itself was great, my girlfriend enjoyed a king prawn risotto whilst I had the best prawn linguine I have had in a long time.
A couple of minor points which prevented the top 5/5 rating, but which I'm sure are simply teething problems as the restaurant is only a couple of months old. Firstly, when we chose a bottle of wine, our waitress returned to suggest that we choose another bottle, as ours hadn't been chilled. When you have a restaurant selling bottles of wine for €50 or €60 there is no excuse for not making sure before service that all wines are at the correct temperature, including the chilling of whites! However, to give our waitress full marks, she gave us a complimentary glass of wine whilst we waited for our bottle to chill - a very nice touch which certainly was not expected. Secondly, my girlfriend originally ordered a scallop risotto, but within a couple of minutes of ordering, our waitress returned to inform us that the kitchen had no scallops. Not very good when you are serving a menu with only 8-10 mains! However, we were told that she could substitute for king prawns which we were happy to do. When the bill arrived I questioned our being charged the original price for the risotto, yet had substituted scallops for prawns. After deliberation with the chef, the dish was lowered in price. However again, if paying the prices they are charging, one expects this level of attention to detail.
In summary this was a highly enjoyable lunch despite the two minor hiccups. The staff most definitely have the raw ingredients - infectious smiles and good sense of humour. With a little work and honing the finer details this restaurant will go on to do wonderful things. We will most definitely be back.
Special mention to Sandra who we found to be a delight!
