The cathedral is set in the heart of the city. A great place to look around especially if it is a hot day. We visited on a Sunday, which allowed us to enter the sanctuary during a active service and meant we didn't have to join the full monastery tour [it also helped to swell the morning congregation]. The building is like lots of European Catholic churches, large and bright, and I was impressed with the sound system [everything said from the front was clear and could be heard throughout the hall].
There is usually a charge to take the full tour [approx E3], but this gives you access to the rest of the site.
