Apartments in a good location at the bottom of the main road close to all the amenities, restaurants supermarkets etc.The rooms were basic with basic facilities but very clean only negative was no air-con but you are provided with a fan which helped. We had a ground floor apartment which was a bonus leading out onto a very large pool with ample sunbeds,In answer to another reviewer the pool was cleaned every morning about 7.30am, I was usually sitting out having my coffee when it was being cleaned,On our second morning we had a power cut reported to the reception and they stated it could be a problem with the kettle ,we had a replacement kettle and power fixed in ten minutes. As stated a small bar/restaurant on site which was well attended, Safety deposit boxes were charged at 2 euro's per day.Overall enjoyed our holiday

Room Tip: ground floor room around main pool

Just got back from 2wks in Calan Forcat staying at Los Lenticos, what an amazing relaxing fortnight we had. We visited Calan Forcat two years ago but stayed in Calan Blanes which was about a 20min walk to the entertainment, Los Lenticos was literally 5mins walk, a lot more central. Los Lenticos is definitely in need of a bit of TLC but for what you pay was very adequate. pool area was excellent, we had room 69 which was ground floor and led straight to the kids / main pool area. Entertainment was none existent, didnt try the food and only saw one, very large cockroach, thankfully nothing in the room. Good restaurents to visit, Rodamon, Castaways, Lanchora, Biancos, really good food for very reasonable prices. Best bars, Jimmy Hills, lots of entertainment for kids at other bars with lots of inflatables in most bars to keep them amused, while the parents did what comes naturally and had a few tipples. Beaches very local.literally 5min walk, only small coves but very beautiful. In summary Calan Focat is a wonderful place for families

Room Tip: any ground floor pool view will give you an amazing location

My friend and I (Both adults) went to Los Lentiscos and arrived home yesterday.
The transfer:
The transfer to Cala N Forcat tooks us about 2 hours, we waited around at the airport quite a while for poeple from different flights and then dropped off and Cala Galdana before making our way to Cala N Forcat. This was slightly annoying but the coach was comfy and air conditioned so our journey wasn't too bad.
The hotel:
The hotel on arrival was peaceful and stayed this way through our week stay, there was a quite a lot of families with children a range of ages, some couples and friends too. The hotel had a fantastic position; it is at the bottom of the main street, it was always quiet but takes only 5 minutes to access all the bars and restaurants. From the hotel is takes 5 minutes to the closest beach - this does have access via a flight of steps, however there is a flat path if you walk a little further around which would probably take about ten minutes instead. There is a supermarket opposite the hotel - which has all the basics you would expect. The position of the hotel was a great feature.
Pool:
The pool area was super; it was relaxing and quiet, the sunbeds surround the pool and are close by so parents could always easily see their children. You could get a sunbed no matter what time of day you arrived at the pool. The pool has 2 parts; one is shallow enough for children to play separated from the main pool by a wall and bars (very useful for playing volleyball over), the main pool has sloping edges both sides for easy access and great for sunbathing on, the middle is deeper and there is a underwater bridge to swim through (took me many attempts to succeed but I did). The pool did not have many activities going on, we saw a scuba diving session once, but that was it. However everyone made there own entertainment and it was a lovely relaxing atmosphere for everyone - all the children we saw loved it. There is a smaller pool also, much quieter- but we didn't go in here. The pool is not high in Chlorine, and we don't believe it was cleaned daily but it wasn't dirty.
The room:
Most of the apartments we saw, seemed in a good position. There are many that face the pools, and have access directly to the pool side - the people staying in these loved them as they could nip in and out of there rooms whilst staying by the pool. Our apartment was a little past the pool opposite the football pitch which was always quite. The room itself was a little smaller that I expected but was acceptable. The kitchen area was fine, with a nice big fridge and freezer - great for freezing water bottles, microwave, kettle and toaster, our terrace looked out on to a small garden, not overlooked, quiet and nice place to sit. The bedroom was ok, the wardrobes big but no drawers anywhere which i wasn't keen on, there was a mirror but no table for all your bits, so we had to live out of our suitcase a bit. The beds were comfortable enough, clean, changed once during our week. The bathroom was immaculate - looked newly renovated - big mirror, good enough shower and bath, towels only changed twice during the week - we had to ask for more clean ones through the week, and somewhat lack of toilet roll - which again we had to ask for more, but the reception gave us both of these when asked. There was no safety deposit box in the room but lots of them in the reception area, we didn't use these so I am not sure if there is a charge. We booked our holiday last minute and forgot to look for air con - Los Lentiscos didn't have any. This was the let down for our holiday, the room had a small fan - but it needs to be on top of something, we ended up standing my suitcase up and balancing it here. the fan was old and a little dusty and if not in the right position did rattle. The room was very warm on a evening and night, so we resorted to two solutions - the first open the windows (the windows have glass and shutters) we opened the shutters as well - even though we were on the bottom floor we felt safe enough to do this. It was always quiet and helped greatly, and the second - on a couple of nights when there was no breeze we used 'cold water bottles' bottles of water that were cold - this cooled us down. However the lack on air con didn't spoil our holiday - it made getting ready a bit hot and sweaty and the nights a little more difficult but we did sleep every night despite it all. The room was cleaned twice during the week and we only saw one cockroach (eeks). Some families said they had lots of ants in there rooms, they complained and were moved or had someone come to spray them - we didn't experience this but that could have been an issue. Overall the room was ok.
The poolside restaurant:
The bar was fine, the staff on the whole friendly and helpful, drinks good, food a bit naff - all the food was clearly packet stuff. Some of it was alright but other stuff a bit yack. Not really my cup of tea - however you don't have to eat here and we often took our own food by the pool no-one ever said anything.
The wifi:
There is free wifi in the reception and restaurant - it wasn't greatly reliable, didn't always connect and sometimes just wasn't working. This didn't really affect us.
Checkout:
You do have to be out of the room by 11am, there is a clean luggage room for storage of cases for 4 euros, there are showers etc for free. We kept our luggage by the pool with us, the changed in the room this was all fine. Picked up on time to be taken to the airport.
The main street:
It was my first visit to Cala N Forcat, but the area was nice. The main street has lots of restaurants, all family friendly. Everywhere had a play area, with bouncy castles, toys, games, tvs all to entertain the children - great for families with young kids. Some of the restaurants were better than others. MUST: Haiti - lovely food, funny efficient staff, clean, good for kids, quick service. Also a must visit is 'Sol de Paradise' this is behind the hotel - come out of Los Lentiscos reception, turn left, walk 5 mins and you'll see the sign. It has amazing views across the sea and you can watch the sun set there. Beautiful. On the main street our worst experience was a place just by the shopping centre - with purple table cloths. We waited ages to be served, the staff were rude and the food was cold!
Evening entertainment:
The hotel had nothing on, the whole time we were there we saw a little kids disco - with 1 entertainer (doing a fab job) and 2 children!
Jimmy Hills - everyone told us about this. This is places just behind the shopping centre (it did take us a while to find it) It is a square of bars with seats outside, all surrounding a stage. There is entertainment here every night, some is a bit naff but other nights were great! The children we saw enjoyed themselves as did the adults. It gets very busy so if you want good seats you need to get there early (half 8 ish), however we never got there it time. The bar area we went to was called 'The usual place' the 2 men are lovely and always found us seats, bringing out extra tables and chairs for anyone who couldn't find somewhere to sit. They ran a tight ship, with quick service. Both men were polite, friendly, and the main guy would make time to chat with everyone and was always smiling. They have free (more reliable) wifi too. The cocktails were about 6 euros and very tasty too, they would also make you cocktails of your own mixtures if you asked nicely enough. The other bars looked similar and everyone was always happy but we liked to stay where we knew was good. Entertainment is 10 - 12midnight. After this most people with kids headed home, and other stayed and chilled. We on the other had found an Irish bar 'Bar 61' near the water park few mins walk up the main road. This place was a right laugh. The staff were absolute joys, very funny. Me and my friend love watching kareoke but hate joining in, - well here you couldn't get us off the micks, the atmosphere was great, really chilled and funny, everyone has a good ol' laugh. There were families with children and the kids loved it and the staff just made sure everyone enjoyed there stay - and we did 3 nights in a row till about 3am every time. We had such a great time there!
The beach:
The beach closest to Los Lentiscos, was a gorgeous little cove. You leave reception, turn right and walk 5 mins, on the left there are the steps onto the beach, I though it would get packed and wasn't sure about it. However it was never busy. I am not a lover of sand, but this cove has a lovely walk way around the cove with space for you to lay and relax. It was not a beach with water sports or with bars, it was a quiet most picturesque place. The sea was shallow as it bent around the cove, so very safe for children. We laid half way round, where was could climb (by steps or rocks) into the deeper water, The water was clear, lots of people snorkeling and very relaxing. There wasn't much shade around the cove, I managed to find a spot where I could stay shaded from about 9am -1pm. On the actual beach there is no sunbeds of parasols but most people brought there own brollies cheap from the shop and used them. This cove was joined to another even smaller cove which was very similar. There is another 2 beaches. One similar to this one and the other one bigger with sunbeds - the bigger one positioned at the end of the main street.
Things to do:
Me and my friend wanted to do the jeep safari but were too late to book - so if you fancy this book straight a away, i think its about 56 euros for an adult and cheaper for a child. We also attempted a boat trip but ended up at the wrong port, on the wrong day (yes, im blonde but she's not!) We went to Ciudadella port, gorgeous place. But no boat trips on a sunday! There is one that runs every other day 10am-5pm for 44 euros wihch sounded great. The yellow catamaran trip runs every hour but from Mahon port, so when we turned up at Ciudadella on sunday for the yellow catamaran you can see why we ended up with nothing to do! However the had lunch in lovely port side cafe and it was a nice day out anyway. The bus stop is right outside Los Lentiscos and the trip takes about 20minutes. Other than that; the local aqua park seemed good for kids, there is a zoo on the island but not much else. I love doing lots of things and this was the quietest place I had been to.
Overall:
Our hol was great, Cala N Forcat is a super place to relax and chill out and seemed the perfect place for young families. Me and my friend had a week of relaxation and enjoyed staying by the beach and pool, eating some good food and having a laugh. I personally probably would not return to Los Lentiscos for it's lack of air con and naff food but did thoroughly enjoy the quiet, safe and very good pool area. I would consider returning to Cala N Forcat again, especially if I just wanted to relax and most definitely would return in the future with my own little family.

The hotel was nice however lack of air con is a massive problem. The area is really nice and quiet even during school holidays. Never had a problem getting sunbeds. No entertainment in the evenings which was disappointing. The restaurants in the area are very nice and waiters are very friendly. Recommend going to cala blanes square in the evenings for shows.

Just come back from a weeks stay in Los Lentiscos Apartments. They are basic but clean and tidy and great location for all the amenities. There is a small beach about a ten min walk away and the shops and restaurants are a 2 min away. The staff are friendly and helpful. It's not 5 star but its great bargin for a family holiday. We travelled with a little one that spent all day in the pool and we could watch him from our terrace. Would stop there again.

Room Tip: If you have small children ask for a ground floor room with a pool view.

first off i'd like to say do not be put off by over critical reviews!we read some before we came out and i have to say i was unsure of what to expect!I feel for the 3stars and price Los Lensticos is a fantastic, clean, friendly and central base.
Our party of ten ranged between 3yrs old and 50yrs old and i have to say the accommodation and area had something for everyone.we were looking for a beach/pool holiday and this hit the spot.being agroup of ten we thought we maybe split up room wise however all four rooms were nextdoor to each other with beautiful pool views...this we hadnt requested so must have got lucky!
the pool is spacious with plenty of sunbeds around and varied in depths for my 3 and 5yr old i saw daily it being cleaned and very thoroughly so by the pool guys.the beach is literally out of the back gate past a shop for the paper (cause we all need a paper on the beach right?!) and down some steps.its a calm beach still as anything and perfect for young kiddies as there are no fears of waves knocking them over or taking them out.its waist depth on adults for the first part but you can swim round the corner for even more beautiful views and depth.hours of fun can be had looking at the crabs, coves and fish swimming around.it can be busy first thing but does quiten around lunchtime.
Los lensticos itself does have a mini disco and entertainer for the kiddies and i have to say he was brilliant!he had the boys up and dancing on the stage, blowing balloons, face paint tattoos and party games,in fact i must say the boys still miss him now!although the other staff smiled and were friendly enough we feel he was the face of the resort smiling and energetic at all times!after this getting the boys to bed was easy as its lovely and quiet at night and we never had a disturbed sleep.
the rooms were clean and had a fan provided, there was plenty of room and towels were in abundance as was toilet roll so seems from previous reviews they have listened as we didnt have to speak to reception at all regarding any complaints.other than hola and goodnight we spoke to them on check in and out...says a lot i think!
finally locally there are plenty of restaurants fairly priced and service brilliant,we liked Haiti the best and other family members spent the evenings in Jimmys I believe and they really enjoyed that with all the tribute acts.shops are pretty much souvenir/supermarkets which didnt really bother us as thats all we needed!
the best thing i think my boys would agree would be the entertainer and mini disco...its a pity we didnt get his name, the worst....having to come home i think!

We went to Los Lentiscos at the begining of june 2013 the complex was lovely and clean and the apartments spotless. the only thing i would like to see improved was the towel changing, it was only done when the cleaners got access if you asked them to come back to clean they didnt so you had to wait for their next clean day for fresh towels, i overheard people saying they had asked for clean towels at reception but they were not helpful, also toilet rolls they give you one at a time so we ended up just buying it ourselves. Apart from that lovely complex. If you want good food dont bother with the fancy places you get a great meal at Dysons , nothing fancy but well cooked and tasty, and June the waitress is great, I dont know where she gets her energy. Overall brilliant holiday and would recommend this accomodation.
