Owner description: Oasis Park Fuerteventura If you visit Fuerteventura and don’t discover its Oasis you will miss out on a major part of its charm. Located on the south east coast of the island, Oasis Park Fuerteventura is a beautiful must-visit nature reserve. It is an 800,000m2 area sheltering and protecting its flora and fauna, home to over 3000 animals of 250 different species, containing a unique Botanic Garden with the largest cactus garden in Europe. The park has four LIVE spaces where you will be able to enjoy live educational sessions with parrots, sea lions, birds of prey and reptiles, with valuable information from their keepers. Entertainment guaranteed! Furthermore, you can have the unique experience of direct contact with lemurs in the Madagascar area, sea lions under the water and even a spectacular trip along the coast on a camel. These will be moments that you will never forget. Oasis Park Fuerteventura, in addition to being a place for entertainment and fun, is an entity dedicated to developing preservation, education and research projects for flora and fauna, such as those for the Cuvier’s gazelle, the African elephant and the Canarian camel. Thanks to the work of the latter, it has the largest camel reserve in Europe, and research is currently being carried out on the health benefits that camel milk offers humans. Open every day of the year, it includes 3 restaurants, a children’s play area and a farm with domestic animals. A free return bus service collects visitors from different points of the island.

I have mixed reviews on Oasis park -
Positives - Great variety of animals, spread over a nice area of land, choice of restaurants.
Negatives - All restaurants served horrible food (take you own from your hotel), while watching the sea lion show we witnessed a memeber of staff hitting and pulling one of the sea lions, horses with their ribs showing and being aggressive towards people (to add these horses were in a pen only 3 times the size of them), monkeys in "rehabilitation" yet on display to the public and clearly disturbed punching the glass at people walking by, filty toilets, rude staff. you can buy food for 1 euro a bag (which i think is the only food these animals are given) bring a bag of fruit from your hotel. i would not visit again.

A really good all day out. Lots to see and do and lots of animals in massive enclosures. Buy the food €1 per bag as you enter and hold on until the Giraffe enclosure. Lots of fun and up close.

Expensive, over 11's full price at €25 so €100 for a family of 4.

One important warning. Take your own picnic. And change for the many drinks machines (€2.50).
The restaurant nearest to the Sea Lion Show is appalling. The service lunch times is at least an hour, many people complaining and the quality of food extremely poor. €10 for a "reclaimed chicken burger" after an hour wait was shocking. A complete let down as the Zoo Animals were great.

Next time we'll take a picnic and the day will be perfect.

We went to Oasis Park from Corralejo and must say that it was along journey on the coach, about 1hour 30 mins with all the pick ups. We paid 24 euros at the hotel. the park is very well laid out with the shows being timed so as you leave one by the time you walk to the next it is ready to start. The parrot show was very good. they do the usual tricks but are flying around the room just over your heads The sea lions show and falconry display are also very good. There are several food and drink outlets and seeing that you have no other options are not over priced. I thought that the day was about an hour to long with the pick up at 18:00 back to Corralejo so 19:30 back at hotel after a 09:15 start a bit much.

If you care about the welfare of animals do not visit this park, we saw a horse that looked starved with all its ribs showing and loads of scars on its hide, chimps in tiny cages and elephants in a space way too small for them both of which would only be described as looking depressed. We also saw two baboons who according to the information board had be recused from somewhere else and were being resocialised yet were on full display and clearly showing signs of aggressive behaviour. When we went to the sea lion show we witnessed one of the workers shouting and hitting one of the sea lions because it would not do as it was instructed. If this park/zoo was in the UK it would be shut down. Oasis park are clearly not spending much of the €25 per person entrance fee on their animals. On other areas the park is just as poor, the food was awful, overpriced and service was very slow and the free bus leaving the park was 30 mins late and the staff were rude.
