Owner description: Oasis Park Fuerteventura If you visit Fuerteventura and don’t discover its Oasis you will miss out on a major part of its charm. Located on the south east coast of the island, Oasis Park Fuerteventura is a beautiful must-visit nature reserve. It is an 800,000m2 area sheltering and protecting its flora and fauna, home to over 3000 animals of 250 different species, containing a unique Botanic Garden with the largest cactus garden in Europe. The park has four LIVE spaces where you will be able to enjoy live educational sessions with parrots, sea lions, birds of prey and reptiles, with valuable information from their keepers. Entertainment guaranteed! Furthermore, you can have the unique experience of direct contact with lemurs in the Madagascar area, sea lions under the water and even a spectacular trip along the coast on a camel. These will be moments that you will never forget. Oasis Park Fuerteventura, in addition to being a place for entertainment and fun, is an entity dedicated to developing preservation, education and research projects for flora and fauna, such as those for the Cuvier’s gazelle, the African elephant and the Canarian camel. Thanks to the work of the latter, it has the largest camel reserve in Europe, and research is currently being carried out on the health benefits that camel milk offers humans. Open every day of the year, it includes 3 restaurants, a children’s play area and a farm with domestic animals. A free return bus service collects visitors from different points of the island.

It was fun visiting there. The only drawback is, it's too much of walking uphills. But definitely worth going. Personally I didn't like any shows as there was loud music and the animals were trained to do things which I feel is cruelty to animals. Staff very helpful.

This was a great day out. We were picked up from our hotel on a free bus (9.10hrs) and taken to the park the coach took about an hour and half as we were in the north of the island. The park has a variety of animals which you can get really close up to, which is amazing if your an animal lover (save food for the elephants at the top of the park). We saw the parrot and seal lion shows whilst there both were excellent and worth seeing. There is also a botanical gardens which have lots of cactus growing in them, some are spectacular and worth going to see, the paths are good, but it is set into a hill side so may be not so good for the elderly or wheelchair users. I only had one concern whilst visiting the chimp enclosure was very small and the chimps did not look very happy fighting each other and very vocal at times. All the other animals seemed happy. It cost us 28 euros to get in and food for the animals cost 1 euro per bag (they seem to like fruit more than straw). The restaurant food was OK, service was pleasant- if I went again we would take our own food. Our bus picked us up at 18.00hrs which was a bit late I think we had finished the visit by 5 so had an hour of hanging around. The gift shop is poor, mostly soft toys and large furniture. Arrived back at our hotel at 7.30pm. There are plenty of shady areas at the zoo, and places to sit we had a nice day out here with plenty to see and do. We did not do any of the interactive experiences as these did cos extra. You get so close to some of the animals that this alone is worth the visit.

This is the place I have got closest to the animals.. They have a free bus and pick you from your hotel or a hotel nearest to you. It was a half our picking up and an hours drive from Corralejo. Once we got there, we realised we had to pay for the camel ride, feeding lemurs and swim with sea lions.

The highlights were- We could feed the giraffe (suggest buy fruits rather than grass they are sold near the ticket points for 1 euro per bag), swam with the sea lion 45 euros, was good but could have been more time. At strategic points like after the sea lion show you can get photographed being kissed or next to the sea lion and pay 5 euros at the end for a copy. You could do the same with parrots, crocs (baby of course!). The camel ride was lovely too.
We did not do the lemur feeding.

Cons- (not really though) extra tickets for the interactions. The restaurant was okay, but the service was bad, we lost time here, pack some lunch if you can.
A lovely place to go to with or without kids :)

Thank SNDee

Really good day out, especially if you love zoos and animal parks. The animal shows are definitely worth planning you day around, and be prepared for a lot of walking. The park is set over many acres of land and the walk to the bird show is very draining on a warm day.

The only reason I can't award 5 stars is the entry price. Based on current exchange rates adult entry is 25, which gives you access to the main shows, does not include the camel safari or a number of other extra events.

Overally it was a great day out and one of the few great tourist attractions in Jandia.
