We were six in the party, including grand children, for dinner in March. We had an excellent meal, were treated very well and enjoyed every course. We only found the restaurant with local knowledge. It was probably one of the best meals we had during the week.

The restaurant wasn't full, but that didn't matter to us. Would go again.

We had lunch there with friends and one person ordered sizzling
prawns in garlic... But they weren't sizzling rather they were cool!
Slightly pricey too.

We arrived on a rather damp evening to find that we were one of only 2 couples to dine in this rather intriguing place which is partially cut into a large rock. This is fairly understandable as it is set away from the centre of town where most of the eateries are. It is quite close to the ferry terminal.
It has atmosphere and would, undoubtedly, be a good choice for lunch on a sunny day being adjacent to a small beach.
However, the food was by and large, a bit of a letdown.
Starters were ok as was my main course of rabbit but my partner's dish of duck in a sweet sauce cooked medium/rare was stone cold and had to go back to the kitchen. By the time it came back to the table at an acceptable temperature I had all but finished my meal. Apologies were made but there was little excuse bearing in mind how quiet it was on the night.
Also the vegetable accompaniments with both dishes were like something out of the 70's - from a tin! Not good enough for the price.
Another gripe was that although the wine by the glass was pretty decent, they were undoubtedly, the smallest measures we had all week in San Sebastián!
Judging by other reviews this may have been an off night but in all honesty, it was underwhelming.

We visited once whilst staying nearby. The location is lovely; built into a cave, by a rocky small beach in the capital with fierce waves. We went at night and of course the night sky is breathtaking in any event. The service and food does not disappoint. The chef enjoys complex dishes, but there is bound to be something on the menu you will like
