We had 2 rooms. The master was a end suite which was huge and had a partly sea view :-) Both rooms were very nice and had great bathrooms! Both had air condition and refrigerators. Complementary water every day was a nice touch! At breakfast there was something for everybody, from champagne to 3 sorts of eggs, bacon, sausage and lots of fruits. Most of the staff was very attentive and helpful. Beach towel for free (a small deposit only). While we were there they had a wedding reception on the roof terrace, and they gave a small gift to everybody that came up there :-) The roof terrace was great, with a small bar and swimming pool. The view was great too! Location is great, across a small one line road and it's only one block to Las Canteras. When it comes to the negative, the road is noisy 24/7, but if you keep the windows close, it's not a problem. We had a great time here and would stay here again!

Room Tip: Corner suites are large, some with sea view

Clean rooms and comfortable beds in a reasonable quiet neighborhood close to the beach and the bus stop. Maintenance is a bit of a problem: the closet (of the fridge) had serious water damage, the curtains were hanging a bit loose and the light switch in the closet was broken.
The lobby was smelly and breakfast was awful. The pastry and bread were cheap, factory made, fruit out of tins, lumpy orange juice (there were lumps of powdery orange in the juice). You can eat better and cheaper in the bakery at the seaside.
The roof terrace is nice but much too small, everybody was fighting for a bed or a chair. It's a pity you can't go to the roof after six.

In short: okay for one visit, won't go there again.

Estimado hans V,

Muchas gracias y saludos

A busy and evidently popular hotel, not exactly inviting in appearance on arrival, with a somewhat indifferent reception experience. The room was perfectly adequate, clean, comfortable bed, although ours could have done with a bit of maintenance - pull the curtains the wrong way and they fall off the worn-out Velcro fastening. Noise from adjoining rooms was a problem the first night, thin walls, and the room doors could do with slam-proof closing mechanisms. Perfectly adequate breakfast, plenty of choice, although it wouldn't be the place to eat dinner with so many more restaurants just a few minutes' walk away. The roof terrace is a pleasant surprise, comfortable sofas and seating and a small bar during the day. A room at the back of the hotel although overlooking the main road at least has a distant view of the harbour. Be aware that this hotel is a good fifteen to twenty minutes' bus ride to the capital, so if you're looking for a base for exploring Las Palmas' sights, this might not be the best choice.

Dear Flj3,

I am writting in connection your commentary.Thank you for spending your time and writting in the tripadvisor page.
As you comment, we are in the city. You will find a lot of interesting sights around the hotel. The old city is just 10 minutes far away. But you can take the bus number 1, which carry you on quickly.
Thank you for mentioning our terrace, it is our best place.
I am terrible sorry for the noises problem. Sometimes, when the hotel is full, the are some rooms which dont respect de rules.
Finally, we would like to express thanks for your commentary, which it is necessary to improve each day.

Thank you

We stayed at the hotel as a New Years treat and arrived on New Year's Day. I had booked the suite. On arrival my heart sank as the outside and lobby to the hotel looked like it was stuck in circa 1970 and the lobby area is very dark. However the actual suite was very impressive in particular the bathroom. The terrace area is also nice but the hot tub was not hot at all. Located right near the beach and close to the mercado las palmas, we had a lovely sea food meal at La Varda where you can pick freshly caught prawns etc and they cook it for you. Highly recommend a visit there. I also liked that the area was a mix of locals as well as holiday makers. The breakfast was disappointing and the coffee was disgusting, so we never ate there other than in the morning. There is definite smell of sewage in lobby which needs sorting out. So overall very satisfied with my room but not sure that I would stay again.

Fair service, good location, terrible breakfast. Room decorated with stuff from IKEA and I kind of get enough of that at home. Thin blanket and sheet for cover is hardly enough during winter. No door for the shower, so water runs out all over the floor. Terrible sewage stench in the lobby.

The hotel is good. The rooms are OK, but some refurbishment and repair should be done. Located close to the Las Canteras beach with all restaurants, and short walking distance to the El Mulle mall
One thing pulling the impression down is sadly the knowledge of english among the staff. With the hotel normally filled up with scandinavians and british guest, is it strange that it's only the reception staff that speak good english. The waiters and other staff, hardly know more than "yes and no".

Las Palmas is a town not to be missed, and this hotel offers good value for money and an excellent location. Although not overlooking the beach from your window, you are only a few steps away from the sand. Las Canteras beach is a very special place, with local flavour and lots of fish that you see while swimming. The hotel even had a children trolley for us when we asked for it; and when I left, they sent me the sunglasses that I had forgotten, very kind and honest.
