All I wanted was a cheap week away we chose Pez Azul Hotel first impressions were very good outside is beautiful we checked in and the receptionist spoke perfect English as did the other 3 we saw all week they were all very helpful, we got our room we got 3rd floor pool view which was fantastic room was clean the beds were very comfortable didn't miss my bed at home at all I was a little over critical as I'm a hotel housekeeping supervisor and noticed the floor hadn't been cleaned but I spoke to the maid the following day and that got sorted we stayed half board the food was very good yes the waiters English was very broken but again Any help we needed the receptionist was always on hand the pool area was very cleaned maintained daily life guard there to Make sure little ones were safe she interacted all the time with guests as guests were mainly German Spanish there were English guest there no fighting over sun loungers which was a first ! Very relaxing holiday is what we wanted and got, beautiful area to stay got to be fit though there's 139 steps down into the town we nick named them stair fest it was fun in the end to get to the top without stopping but we conquered it. If you want Quiet relaxing holiday this is the place to stay all staff were amazing couldn't fault any of the service the only feedback I would give is shame there was no lights outside the pool would have been lovely to sit outside at night and was a little shocked from a safety point of view as it was really dark also you put coffee machine in our room but no kettle we used says pan to boil water but would have been nice for both I will stay again that's for sure anyone who goes here must visit the botanical gardens which is a 10 min walk from hotel at 3 euros and then we visited loro Parque a zoo which was 34 euros for day it was amazing to see all the shows you can by a twin ticket for a water park too cheaper but I didn't want to go but people with children it's a must ! All in all I had a wicked time ty for your great service we will be back

Room Tip: 3rd floor pool side

Myself and my friend decided to stay here due to the price, which defiantly did not let it down!
We stayed 9-19th of June. We used the pool continuously throughout our duration, it was slightly warm but as a non-swimmer I found it difficult as it was relatively deep, surrounding areas of the pool are exceptionally clean and the sunbeds more than comfortable!
The location of the hotel is great, about a 20 minute walk to the town (shops, beach, lido etc)
The room was very liveable - crockery, cutley, towels etc are supplied.

A few heads up about the area;

- extremely quiet, not a lot to due our duration was quite long and with the loro parque attraction being 35€ it was quite pricey for the one attraction north Tenerife did have!
- a lot of elderly people, not really many young tourists, myself and my friend are 21 and we found it boring AT TIMES!
- the food is ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. The restaurant within the hotel looked unappetising so we decided not to eat there, many restaurants served inedible food also especially the Chinese restaurant in town above the arcade!
- best place to go for a lovely meal would be Beatle Rock Cafe, their chicken kebab is lovely!
- the beach is extremely tiny and not the cleanest!
- Lago Martinez is a must!

The only negative thing I could say about the hotel is the one time we did have our room cleaned a packet of cigarettes were stolen from our wardrobe, make sure any valuables are placed in the safe (at an extra cost)

Hope my review helped!

It was clean and nice really, not much to complain. You get what you pay for and nothing more. We had a studio so we can cook our own food. It would have been nice to have an oven as sometimes a cheap pizza would have been great. If you fancy something special, this is not the place for you, but if you just want to sleep and explore during the day, totally!

We stayed there in May. We only booked the apartment. So I cannot review the meals. Our apartment had two single beds, a kitchenette and a separate bathroom with a bathtub. Our hotel room was towards the street and on the third floor directly above the restaurant. During the nights you could hear music coming from a nearby located restaurant ( the music died down around 10 pm) which didn't bother us. The street noise was at a normal level. The room was cleaned every day except for Saturday ( that was announced so it was no surprise for us). the kitchenette contained two hot plates, a fridge, a coffe machine and a sink. You can find cups, bowls, cutlery, pots, a pan and plates inside the cupboards. What we couldn't find was a sponge and washing-up liquid. We also had a small cupboard for our clothes ( there was a safe but you have to rent the key). There is no flatiron. In the bathroom you can find towels of different sizes which are changed.
Whatsoever there is no shampoo or anything else. The room was always clean and so was the hotel. At the lobby you can lend books and magazines in different languages. There is also a pool but we haven't used it because it was a bit too cold for that. The personal was friendly but not always helpful because of their lack of the English language and it seemed sometimes they just couldn't handle unusual situations. But all things considered it was a nice stay and we always felt comfortable and safe. It is nothing fancy but if you are okay with buying your groceries in a nearby supermarket then you surely enjoy your stay.

Room Tip: Try to book a room at least at the third floor. This way you will get a nice view and it is not as n...

This is a hotel that is really good value for the price we paid. The room was clean and overlooked the pool - nice gardens with all the plants in flower. With few English guests, this hotel seems to cater mainly for German folk - based on the books and magazines you could borrow which were all in German. We went self-catering, but with no oven, kettle and few kitchen utensils you are not going to whip up a storm in the kitchen area. We had to ask for 2 cereal bowls..... Having said that we did OK with the stuff that was provided, and there are lots of nice restaurants close by to choose from. We went and looked at the buffet provided by the hotel and it had a really good selection to choose from, though we didn't actually try it. The pool was still really chilly, I only dipped my toe, though my partner braved it. I suspect that later in the year in the summer heat its refreshingly cool. None of the rooms had air con, so they may well be pretty hot in summer. Its quite a trek down to the sea front. Puerto de la Cruz has lots of steep hills/steps up and down, but its a really nice stroll round to the harbour. We caught a bus from Tenerife south airport. Very good value at just over 27 euros for the two of us - and the driver stopped basically outside the hotel. We also hired a car from just across the road from the hotel for a very good price - much less than they wanted at the airport. Please note the hotel doesn't supply towels for the pool area. They expect you to buy one from one of the local shops - about 3.5 euros - but we used the room towels! This is a low key, low budget hotel, but don't let that put you off. It was perfectly adequate for our needs (though perhaps a couple of sharp knives in the kitchen area would have been helpful). The reception staff we met were pleasant and welcoming, though our early morning call for 0300 was missed. Luckily we were awake....

Me and my friend stayed at this hotel last October and we couldn't have asked for more, especially for the price we paid. Clean and comfortable rooms and rooms were cleaned regularly. We were given a free late checkout and staff were very helpful. Little supermarket to the right of the hotel, where you can get fresh bread, milk etc. Free wifi was also a bonus! The only thing I would not recommend is the breakfast and the restaurant next to the super market is a good alternative.

7 days with my cousin at this hotel and it was a pleasant surprize! The room and its cleaning service was flawless, the beds were nice and the kitchen tools enough for a weeks stay. Only negative part was that our room was on the chilly side. Would recommend!
