We liked:
- spacious, very clean 1-bed apartment with comfy beds, and huge balcony with great view.
- extremely wide choice at breakfast (if you're British you'll probably raise an eyebrow at some of the foods on offer, but it seems some guests do want to start the day with boiled carrots!)
- only €3.15 to get taxi back from town
- lovely gardens with sunbathing lizards in the
- fairly peaceful: not many kids and an older, mainly German clientele.

We were less keen on:
- room 410 faces East so it only got the sunshine first thing and we couldn't use the balcony as it was chilly.
- there is a general air of austerity. No pool towels for instance, no minibar, you have to pay a deposit for a TV remote, if you want more than 3 pillows between you you have to ask at reception.
- the free shuttle bus isn't always available at useful times, especially coming back.
- it's oddly difficult to buy food and drink! After an RTA blocked the road from the airport, our coach didn't arrive until 9.20pm and we went to bed hungry after an 11 hour journey.

Dear guests:
We really appreciate your comments on your recent stay. Thank you for your kind words about our gardens and apartments. Due to the high occupancy in the period we could not comply with all clients requests but we are unceasingly improving to offer our guests the best service. Regarding the breakfast, we normally try to provide a large variety of food for different tastes. Also, a wide variety of snacks is available at our Hall Bar. We will soon solve the deposit issue to make use of some services proceeding like other hotels and asking for a credit card upon arrival as a guarantee.
Thanking you for your comments and wishing you had a nice stay in Puerto de la Cruz.
Yours faithfully,
PARQUE VACACIONAL EDEN

Studio room okay, clean and tidy but we asked to move from the ground floor as it was very noisy being next to the kitchen, reception very helpfull and moved us next day. All the staff from reception, bar and resteraunt excellent.Food wise the breakfasts very good, the evening meals not so good, poor choices from a buffet - very dissappointing.
Overall the amenities quite good, sunbathing areas limited for space apart from the rooftop pool area which is nudist only. Bar prices very reasonable and a free bus into town available every hour.Overall good value value for money if you go bed and breakfast only, as I said evening meals poor and there are restaurants nearby very reasonably priced

Room tip: stay off the ground floor

We had a late minute break with Thompson, so didn't pay much for our holiday and so weren't expecting anything amazing.......Well Eden surpassed our expectations in every way. Spotlessly clean, very smart and modern, service superb and breakfast was just the best.
I stay in lots of very good hotels in the UK and this was as good or better than most.
The room was cleaned every day except Sunday, and the maid (I think Monica) was very respectful of our belongings but went above and beyond. The staff in general couldn't have been any more helpful or friendly.
The walk to the hotel was something else!! but we actually really enjoyed it and used it as a way of walking off all the amazing food and drink down in the main town. There is a free bus in and out of town, but taxi is about 3-4 euros anyway (which we used when we had loads of shopping!)
We will definitely go back and would be happy to pay the full price next time.
Highly recommended.

Room tip: Room 204 was on the side so avoided sun all day and kept very cool

I took a spur of the moment holiday and Eden Parque was the only place with vacancies for the dates I wanted. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the hotel was clean, quiet, peaceful and well appointed. It wasn't the last word in luxury and comfort but for the price it was extremely good value offering many great amenities which included a beautiful (and well kept) garden, four swimming pools, tennis court, sauna, two bars and several sun terraces etc...I was half board and found the food to be varied, plentiful and of good quality with lots of fresh fruit, salad and vegetables available at every sitting.

As far as the location is concerned, it is about a fifteen to twenty minute walk to the seafront. As the area is very hilly this could be problematic for people with mobility issues. However, it shouldn't pose much of a problem for those people who are reasonably fit. I'm sixty eight and managed the terrain without too much difficulty. There is an hourly 'free' bus service from the hotel to the main resort area and taxis are only about 3 or 4 euros each way.

I think the hotel would suite people of all ages, although as it was term time when I stayed, the majority of guests seemed the be made up of elderly German people.

I found the decor rather austere and the furniture in the public areas cheap and uncomfortable. I also think the quality of the bedding could be upgraded (the pillows for example were not very comfortable).

Most of the staff seemed helpful and friendly although some did come across as surly and abrupt which I put down to language difficulties rather than rudeness.

On the whole I enjoyed my stay and would recommend the Eden to others who are looking for a cheap and cheerful holiday.

Room tip: Ask for a quiet, peaceful room with a nice view.

Dear guests,
Thank you very much for your comments. We are glad to know you enjoyed your stay with us.
We find very difficult to comply with all our guest's wishes in relation with matresses and pillows. We are sorry that you found your pillow not very comfortable.
Usually, our staff try to learn languages to be able to improve the attention to our clients. Nevertheless, we have different guest's nationalities and it is difficult to learn so many languages. We agree with you, it was probably a lack of English knowledge.
We trust to be able to welcome you in the close future.
Yours sincerely,

Stayed in a 1 bed apartment (room 613) from 2 - 9 March. Arrived at 10.30 pm and were presented with a lovely salad in our room - completely unexpected. We couldn't fault the apartment at all. It was spotlessly clean, comfortable and was cleaned daily apart from Sunday. All members of staff from reception, to restaurant and cleaners were polite and cheery greeting us with a Hola and a smile. There was plenty of choice at breakfast and dinner and we enjoyed every meal. It was nice to be away from the hustle and bustle of the centre but close enough to walk down to and up! Now planning to visit again in October and hopefully stay at the Eden again.
