if you put all the niggles about this hotel down on paper and read them singularly you would think "Whats the problem ?"....the problem being is if I had wanted a 3 star and paid a three star price then OK but not when you've paid for 4 star and not got that. The lobby area was "all fur coat and no knickers" plenty of marble and a glass lift but the rooms were very tired, could do with a coat of paint and new grouting in B/rooms.Furniture was stained. The sheets were clean and starched but mine had a hole in it. You were not allowed to take drinks from the bar into the restaurant (right next door) and when a beer was requested at the table the bottle was brought but no glass.....you were expected to drink from the wine glass. The restaurant had all the ambiance of a British Rail canteen and I should imagine in high season it could be a right scramble.pleasant area but NOT 4 star.

Stayed with my wife for a week. Rooms are nice, cleaned every day. Food was plenty and varied. I think everybody can find something for their taste. The hotel is in a very good location, very well connected to everything (beach very close, Loro Park very close, market/shops/bus station/church close) and still is very quiet. There's a nice coffee shop just across the street that has the best coffee in the town. We had a very good time there.

Room Tip: Rooms on the last floor have a very nice view to the ocean.

We had 4 nights here in late December and liked it so much that we have just had another week here. We are not in the over 65 brigade - as some reviewers would have you believe. We are however, not the sun bed, lounging, drinking all day holiday makers either. We like a hotel to be clean, with spacious rooms and decent breakfasts before we set off on our travels.
This hotel ticks all those boxes.
This time I checked in by myself as OH was parking car - this can be difficult to find a space near by, we got one about 5 mins walk away - the reception staff were friendly and helpful, once they had realised that I didn't speak German or Spanish!!
i had booked via hotel4u and requested a room on 4th or 5th floor , we got a 4th floor room overlooking the walkway up the side of the hotel. The rooms are all laid out the same, with plenty of storage, large twin beds and a large bathroom. Extra pillows are available as are blankets if the night gets a bit chilly. A couple of downsides are the room doesn't have any brewing up facilities ( we take our own) and the TV is very small - but only has sky news and BBC world news ( we take a laptop to watch films on). The room is cleaned daily, the towels replaced on the 'leave in bath if used, hang up if using again' theory and the bedding was changed at least once whilst we were there. But come on - who changes their towels everyday and their bedding every other day at home??
We stayed half board and have always found the food acceptable as described by other reviewers. I like to see what other nationalities are having for breakfast and they try it myself. So you can have egg and bacon, cereal, toast or fruit, yoghurt, ham, cheeses, pancakes, spreads the list is endless. The evening meals always have a pasta based meal, plenty of fish and a meat dish, with loads of salads.. Some nights the potato option was a bit thin, hence the pasta. The waiting on staff work hard to keep the tables clear,. On the half board option drinks with the evening meal are charged for, and wine can be corked and kept till the following evening.
We didn't use the pool or sourouding faciliites, as we were on a hiking, sight seeing break.
We didn't drink in the bar or see any of the entertainment as we prefer to walk into town at nights, where there are plenty of cafes etc to relax with a drink and watch the world go by.
The hotel is very well placed for the bus station, Loro Parque and Playa Jardin and if you have hired a car is easier to park at than those hotels nearer the town centre. The area is very quiet at night and we weren't disturbed early morning either.
We had a lovely view of the abandoned hotel in Taoro parque from our balcony, which came with its own little lizard :)
If we return to Tenerife we would definately stay here again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on 3rd, 4th or 5th floor - better views and quieter.

my mum and i went on a little girls holiday during the last week of carnaval, for a bit of relaxing during the day and partying during the night. when we arrived we went straight to the bar where we were told there were snacks and cocktails. snacks... erm... well we ate them once and never again! The barman told us that with the all inclusive that we had paid for we could get any local spirit we wanted, wine, beer, soft drinks coffee so my mum had a gin & tonic and i wanted a malibu & pineapple. Mum got her G&T but they wouldn't give me the local, cheaper version of mailbu! strange i thought, but hey i'll have a piña colada then, sorta similar, i drank it and the amount of alcohol was miniscule! i had 3 and was SOBER, in the end i paid for a drink. If you have picky tastes like me the bars not very equipped but my mum was happy with vodka and gin!
Breakfast, lunch & dinner was alright, but it seemed to be catering for the over 65's as nothing needed chewing. overcooked rice, fideu, pasta, sloppy scrambled eggs, angel delight-esque pudding, mushy bananas, ice cream etc. The food was very mediterranean/ spanish which was very nice but i can see some brits not being happy. The fish was beautiful and fresh everyday with a great variety my mum loved it, shame i don't eat fish :(
The evening entertainment was watching the oap's bopping on the dancefloor to old spanish music till 11pm when the bar closed... so we went out and stumbled upon fiesta after fiesta brilliant! it wasn't far at all to the centre of town with young people and life!
the rooms were clean, our towels changed every day, but the sheets weren't changed the whole week we stayed there. The bath tub plughole had been filled in with filler for some reason, not what i'd expect from a 4* hotel. The curtains were ripped and the bedside lamp had to be tapped a few times before it turned on.
The staff were very nice and helpful. The kitchen staff that popped out every so often were lovely and chatty, the waiters were very busy but never kept you waiting long.
The disco was open on friday and saturday from 9pm til 1am so we headed down there at 12:30 and there was nobody there, so we tried the next night at 10pm and again nobody was there! we wondered why and then saw that you couldn't use the al inclusive card and the drinks prices were hiked up, for a cd player and disco lights :(
The indoor pool could be used between 10am-12pm then 3-6pm then 10-11pm. we stepped through the doors and my eyes started streaming the chlorine level was unreal and even if i could have endured my eyes stinging i was afraid it would turn my hair green!
All in all we had a good holiday due to the town itself, not so much the hotel i would have given it a 3* not 4, and would only recommend it to over 65's!

This hotel was very nice. My partner and I were at this hotel earlier this month. Although it was not what we expected we had a great holiday. This hotel is for over 65's. Would not recommend it to any1 with a family or young couples. All entertainment in Spanish and German. Did not make any effort for British visitors. Food was decent. Bedrooms cleaned every day. Enjoyed our stay but would not go back to this part of Tenerife.

We got an excellent deal with alpharooms for full board, were given a choice of wines/soft drinks with all meals though our voucher stated not. The hotel isn't as bad as I expected from some reviews here, mainly senior citizens though, some of who gave our little children lots of attention! Also mainly German and Spanish.
Pros:
Truckloads of space, 3 children's play areas, indoor heated pool (with strange timings) with free water floats, good variety of food, lots of fish and salads, very lovely restaurant staff, spotlessly clean rooms, cleaned/beds made/clothes folded daily, 5 min walk to Playa Jardin, less than 10 min walk to bus stop, lovely terrace area with sea and PDLC views, impressive entrance, walkable distance from town centre, fully equipped kitchen with washing machine, microwave etc which was a surprise, big bowl of fruit and bottles of water on arrival.
Cons:
No children's entertainment in the evenings at all, one uninterested girl doing a couple of hours of mini club twice a week for 2 hours.
Time between dinner and entertainment at 9:30pm too long, would have been great to have a mini disco like most hotels. At least 20 children while we were there who would have loved it.
Overall it was a great stay in terms of value for money and amenities on offer.

Room Tip: If less than 4 people, ask for a seaview room
