We stayed here for 2 nights. The sister and brother who run it were both very welcoming and spoke good English. Good recommendations for favourite bars and restaurants. The room was "designer" decorated by their mum and she has put a lot of thought into the decor. Also we had a window onto the little garden at the back, where we sat on our first afternoon. Bed comfortable, great shower. Didn't have breakfast but a small one is included in the price. Only slight disadvantage is the position, up a hill from the main town if you don't like hills. It's a very real part of the town with all that implies but felt safe to us.

My second visit. A warm welcome and friendly service. Lovely airy room, very comfortable bed and a great location. Coffee available after 09.15 - a slight disappointment for early risers, but fits right in with Spanish life! I will be back.

We stayed in this lovely hotel in late January for three nights on family break. It is a very fine mix of the old and modern and is very well located in the centre of Santander. The beds are extremely comfortable and our bedroom looked on the very private and well named secret garden. Our stay was made even more special by our very helpful hostess and owner Ene. We look forward very much to going back soon.

We Stayed for 5 nights in August and were delighted with this b and b. On arrival the first impression we got was of the friendly welcome we received and the beautiful entrance hall. Our room had lovely decor and was at the back of the building overlooking the garden. The only criticism is that the plastic chair in the room which was not very comfortable and providing 2 chairs would be preferable. The bed was very comfortable and it was very quiet here. We enjoyed the simple but very nice cake and coffee served to us each morning, sometimes in the garden. We liked its central position and it didn't take too long down hill to reach the sea front about 10 mins and only 3 or 4 mins to the shops. There were plenty of eateries to choose from and lots to see and do here.

Room Tip: Room overlooking the back garden
