I fully agree with the last comment. This place is called a Palace? What a joke! Place needs s revamp quick, service is mediocre, breakfast? The worst we have encountered!, it is not properly located, far away from most tourist sites. Place is clean, rooms are good size, but this hotel doesn't deserve more than one star.

Let's keep to the basics based on a two night stay in mid May, 2113:
Rooms: Large with a surprisingly cramped bathroom. No English TV channels. Clean tile floors ( no carpet). No refills for shampoo or soap.
Hallways: Dark, stained and worn carpeting.
AC: they don't turn the AC on until June; do not know when they turn on the heat!
Staff: helpful but they did not speak much English.
Common rooms: The lobby was decorated with Toreador suits and animal prints. The lounge was filed with African taxidermy -- elephant head, zebra skins, and antelope skulls.
Breakfast: edible but modest and poorly presented.
Elevators: Two elevators. Only one in service the majority of time. NONE in service for several evening hors one night.
Location: about a 4Euro cab ride to the city center. About a ten minute walk to the northern end of the beach.
To describe this as a three star hotel is generous.

Very large comfortable rooms. Easily reached by bus from the centre of town - bus number 1 which takes the scenic route to the hotel. Otherwise you can take bus C1/6 (quick route) from outside the town hall to the hotel. The gym facilities are good and are located just behind the hotel. There is a bar (just behind the hotel) which has music and salsa dancing at the weekend. Breakfast is primarily continental, for a fraction of the B&B cost we would suggest taking breakfast elsewhere. The beach is a 5 minute stroll away. Restaurants tend to open at 2100 hrs including the hotel restaurant.

Room Tip: High floor for a chance of a sea view

We had trouble finding it as we only had a sat nav and it didn't show on it. Eventually a kind policeman gave a map and directions. From the outside the hotel looked a bit grim, but inside it was delightful. The receptionist was friendly and the room was much more than expected. In fact it was a suite. It was a pity we couldn't stay longer, but had to catch a ferry the next day. The only downside was when we went down to the bar it was very cold and almost empty so we decided to go out and find somewhere for a drink and to eat. Breakfast was totally self service with plenty of choice. The ferry was about 10 minutes drive away.

I don't know if this was standard, but we got a hugh room that included a massive double bed and a sofa and chairs. It also had a very nice balcony, strangely there was no furniture on it, would have been nice to sit there and read. The room was the best with this hotel. Otherwise, like previously mentioned, had an odd decor of hunting and animals and toreros. Breakfast was ok, particularly since this is spain after all. The location was ok, not far from the best beach in the city and some restaurants in the evening. We stayed 3 nights and then we had eaten in many places and kind of run out of options, so I would not have wanted to stay longer. It is far to the inner city with more options, you could walk there in maybe 20 min through a horrible tunnel (!), if not, it is even further and requires a taxi or car.

My husband, two year old daughter and I stayed here the night before our return ferry to the UK after two months travelling around Europe. We hadn't pre booked, turning up on spec mid Sunday afternoon. The main attraction for my husband was the free parking, as we had a land rover and expedition trailer to park up! The car park is quite small with only a few bays but we were able to park the opposite side with no problems. We were offered a junior suite for €90 ish which we took. It was perfect - a large bedroom for us with its own TV, leaving the large sofa bed free for our daughter. The room was spotlessly clean and very welcoming. Overall great value and a great location. Would use again.

Stayed here for a couple of nights on the ground floor .. Room was big .. More like a suite .. Had a terrace and all the hotel amenities you could need .. Restaurant is good but not great .. Nothing is wildly over priced .. Not far to walk to the beach
Still wish it would be made illegal for hotels not to have a power outlet next to the bed though.
