the main criticism about my room is the dimension, so small. the toilet is uncomfortable, it is difficult to see themselves in the mirror. the room is supposed to be for 2 adults and 2 children but there is not even a desk to work on.
there is a window in the toilet.
apparently the reception is open only in the morning, there is an emergency mobile phone to call. there is not a vending machine and the water form the toilet was not drinkable so, do not forget to buy water in the afternoon.
the overall aesthetic aspect of the hotel is nice, with a non conventional taste, in view also of the breakfast time (from 8.30) this is suggested for a couple of young lovers not too exigent...

This is listed as a hotel but in America we call them B&B's. This is a former mansion from the turn of the century. It did a remodel last year or so I'm told. The rooms are amazing. With a total of three floors and one room on the third floor has a second room on the fourth floor. Rooms come with different amenities. Some have extra beds, a balcony, or a fridge.
Short walk to the beach. Wireless internet never worked and owner couldn't figure out and didn't care about it. There is no where to do laundry at all at the hotel or town. Bad for long term people like me. No smoking in the rooms. You must walk up stairs and there is no where for disabled people to go. Breakfast is in the basement and it is apparently normal European breakfast. Very different from American food but they can and will accommodate us silly Americans with traditional American food if asked.

Las Brisas is a charming, rather old-fahioned hotel with dedicated staff. The owner and staff work hard to ensure that guests are happy. I would not recommend this hotel to people who are unable to walk up stairs.

this hotel has a recommend in the michelin 2007 which is a mystery to me. our room was small with an electric socket hanging from the wall showing bare wires.the room safe did not work and I had to pay a 20euro deposit for a key.our stay was for 2 nights. On the second night I was asked to settle the bill as the hotel was supposed to be busy in the morning (not so). Then surprise surprise my credit and debit cards were rejected and I was asked to go to a bank for cash. We had stayed in paradores for 6 nights and with no credit card problems. We went out for dinner that night , and payed with my visa card,no problem.Next morning I paid cash as I did not want anymore hassle, then I had quite a problem retrieving my 20 euro safe deposit.

Had written email confirmation when we arrived, but the rooms available were not correct. We had to get extra rooms to accomodate the group at a higher rate. This is a wonderful old hotel with character, clean. $80euro/double was our rate, but that changed to singles at $70. The old man/proprietor was a little difficult to work with, speaks English, but insisted that all his guests are returning 'friends', not new people. Now that we are paid up - we have become part of that 'select group'. Location is perfect, a block off El Sardinero beach, with great food convenient. Rooms had AC, shower, hair dryer. He suggests that next time we call him directly. [--] phone 942 275 11.
