Parador de Albacete
Ranked #2 of 15 Hotels in Albacete
Reviewed 18 September 2013

Outside of the town in the "farmlands", but very quiet in spite of the motorway close by.
Very polite and efficient reception.
The room was facing a putting green a had a cosy balcony. A big room with equally big comfortable bathroom.
A very big and clean pool area with a limited bar service.

We had dinner: service was ok, food was good and plentyful, but not too many choices.
Breakfast was below average. Too much cakelike bread for scandinavians and not too many things to choose from.

More hacienda than Parador.

We drive into town with a rather big car (Citroën C5) and it was a big challenge.

This is a very pleasant Parador, a bit more like a hacienda than the usual sort of place. We were there in April and it didn't seem very busy. I would imagine it's probably better in the summer as it has tennis courts, a putting green and a swimming pool. It's quite a bit out of town but don't try to get to it from the town as the signage is dreadful - we spent ages driving round the town trying to find the right road out to it, so it's best to approach from the highway.

Our rooms had balconies looking out onto the putting green. Although the hotel is quite near the highway, we were pleasantly surprised that the only sound you could hear in the morning was birdsong. Dinner there was very good and breakfast was the usualhigh standard.

This was my 2nd stay at this hotel. I didn't eat dinner last time I stayed and after the great meal I enjoyed on this stay I can only say what a mistake. The food was cooked beautifully and served with a real smile, despite the language barrier as my Spannish is awful!!
I hope to return in the summer when I can enjoy the pool!!

Although this Parador was not very busy in the week after New Year, the welcome was warm and smiling and the service throughout was absolutely superb. This hotel is a good drive from the local town and very easy indeed to find. The bar staff were very nice and kept a lovely wood fire going in the bar and dinner was of the highest quality washed down with a not-too-expensive bottle of local wine. With only five people staying in the hotel, breakfast was not quite as extensive as it is in some Paradors, but everything was delicious, fresh and set us up nicely for the remaining trip down to the south and the sun. Albacete is a marvelous stopping off point on the way down from Madrid Airport to the coast. Thoroughly recommended!

Room Tip: They are all petty good - and we have stayed there several times!

Stayed here for work for 2 nights. Rooms really big and clean, lots of facilities in the room and a nice terrace. The free wifi was super slow and hard to use. Didn't eat dinner there but the breakfast was just as expected.

Found on line at reduced rate only stayed one night on route to Alicante good accommodation, clean, friendly staff, plenty of parking space and easy to find just off motorway on outskirts of Albacete. Eating in this part of Spain is always going to be around 8pm so we had selection of tappers at the bar which were very good.Found in morning that no facility for tea and coffee making in room and person at reception arranged for tea and coffee to room with no charge, would use this hotel again.

This was the least interesting building of all the paradors we've visited and was too close to motorway. But the hotel was an unusual courtyard-based design, and the parador had all the usual conveniences with nice, good-sized rooms, excellent bathroom and very good food. Swimming pool was quite large but shallow to swim for about half the length and the noise from the nearby motorway was noticeable there.
