Stayed for 2 nights in Hotel San Jose in July 2013, within walking distance to Albacete city centre, and just round the corner from the many tapas bars in Calle Tejares. Furthermore, there is quite a good and relatively cheap tapas bar just across the street from the hotel, which is quite handy if you want to enjoy a quick cool beer for only 1.50 Euro!.
Hotel staff were extremely nice and most understood and spoke English. We had a room on the 1st floor which was quite spacious and even had a small kitchenette! The air-condition worked well, which was quite important considering the summer heat. The hotel provides free WiFi and the signal was pretty strong and reliable. One drawback of the rooms is that the walls do not appear to be well insulated as it is quite easy to hear what is going on in the room next door.
There was a pretty good selection of cold and warm choices for breakfast, including cereals, yogurts, fruits, bread, scrambled egg, bacon, sausages, hams, cheeses, pastries and cakes. Coffee, tea and juices are also served.
A shopping complex (the Albacentre) is just about 10 minutes walk away from the hotel. Taxi from hotel to train station will only cost about 10 Euro.
