“Very Low Food Quality. Unfriendly. Dirty”
Reviewed 20 May 2012

I was very disappointed to see that such "restaurants" are still open around the world. The first strategy is to cheat by presenting a different menu when you are asking for food inside (Menu 15), as when looking for options outside the restaurant (Menu 8,95)
First dish we had, salad / paella, was re-heated and cold, missing a good dressing or spicy ingredients. Main dish also reheated and really uneatable.
When complaining I had the chance to visualize the "kitchen". A very dirty place with a very unpleasant lady. No chance to get a proper reclamation. I doubt the play legal.
All in all: never ever.
I am very disappointed about spanish service. Its really a pity

“Poor quality.”
Reviewed 18 May 2012 via mobile

Paella - cold, undercooked, 1 piece of fish/prawn. Beef mains incredibly chewy, and simultaneously over and undercooked. "dessert" was still in the plastic packaging from the supermarket. Avoid.

“Small and friendly”
Reviewed 20 February 2012

We went into this restaurant because we were standing about 20 metres from it when a very heavy rainstorm started and we were taking shelter. We just ordered a drink as it was a little eaarly for lunch. However, before we had finished our drinks the first diners had arrived and their food looked and smelt very good so we decided to stay and eat.

It was a very pleasant lunch, with a wine much better than we wwould have expected for the price, Both the starters and maincourses were good and came in good-sized portions, though the desserts were a little disappointing, being standard suermarket flans and ice creams.

However, while I would not recommend it for a special meal, for good family-style cooking it was a very good meal for the price.

“Unbelievably poor food, at no bargain price”
Reviewed 11 February 2011

Only open lunchtime. TRied this on recommendation of our hotel reception. His other recommendation La Alambia was excellent. This was dire. AT 15 euros for lunch it was certainly more expensive than many fixed menus other restaurants offered at lunch. The only good dish was Toledo soup. My paella was cold, dry and totally lacking seafood. Both mains were v poor. The piece of suckling pig was re-heated (not enough so was still cold, clearly cooked some days earlier one felt ) the potatoes cold and the salad swimming in water. The beef brochette was half beef (2 pieces of beef) plus 2 pieces of pork which wasn't on the menu, with burnt courgette between ! AGain potatoess were cold and plate swimming in water from the salad. The dessert reached all time low with cheap supermarket creme carmel and chocolate mousse which turned out to be synthetic chocoale cream dessert , the 30 cents type, really not what you would expect of a 15 euros , typical restaurant. The slightly redeeming feature was included red wine was better than average. REcommendation would be go elsewhere.

“Pluses and many minuses!”
Reviewed 9 August 2010

We tried this restaurant based on the rating on trip advisor and were less than thrilled. It is a very small, home style, local restaurant that at first looked appealing for it's "Mom and Pop" allure - indeed it was a small family run restaurant. There were menus posted outside with varying prices for a "menu del dia" (meal of the day), and an full menu. When we were seated we were handed only one menu which we later discovered was their 15 euro meal of the day menu. We ordered off of this menu, only to realize the cost later - I believe that they saw tourists coming and gave them the more expensive menu. I was happy with my tasty paella (sizeable portion and definitely the best of the items ordered) and roast suckling pig, but my daughter ordered a brochette of meat that was barely cooked - they offered to cook it more only after we ordered dessert (by this point she did not want it). My husband ordered a garlic soup that was inedible - we all tried one bite and could not eat another. The waitress took it away with no offer of anything else. Desserts appeared to be store bought facsimiles of "chocolate mousse" and "tiramisu" - I would have been happier with a piece of fruit! All in all, not a good experience, especially for 45 euros!
