There is little to add to LolaMadra's review below. We had a nice room (with balcony) over the Calle Comercio and had no trouble sleeping. There was excellent WiFi in the room and we made good use of it.

You could drive to the door of the B&B during "off hours" but the Calle Comericio is a pedestrian mall most of the day and a car would not be welcome. There is good bus service from the train station to the center of town. (There is also good service to the office of Europcar but the bus driver we had was remarkably uncooperative!)

We can recommend this B&B.

We stayed here for the first night of our Spain trip.
The hotel is located in the middle of the town.

It was a little difficult to locate the hotel, but they had sent us the email with the direction and parking information beforehand. It is well signed on the street as well.

The hosts were very nice and helpful.
In fact, during our stay, I had to call a different hotel, then, he made a call for me and talked to them for my need. He was amazingly helpful and kind.

The room and the bathroom were very small but cozy.
The location was very nice, and we found a paid parking a couple blocks away.

We just felt so good about this place because people here are very nice and helpful.
They know how to treat their guests right. From the beginning to the end, we felt very comfortable and welcomed.

LolaAnMadra's review is thorough and captures what our party of 4 experienced at La Posada de Zocodover on September 29, 2013. The owner was incredibly helpful recommending a breakfast cafe (La Pepa), escorting us to a shop that gave us a discount on some knives made from Toledo steel, and even volunteering to take us to our next accomodation when we decided to stay in Toledo and there was no availability at this hotel. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: There is no elevator however, the owner volunteered to carry the bags up.

Stayed here for one night in September and really enjoyed our stay. We met the owner ,who has reasonable English, and he gave us a map and a quick orientation and guide to the main attractions.

We stayed in room 201 which was on the second floor and facing the busier Calle Comercio. Room is a little tight but that is part and parcel of staying in old building. The old wooden beam ceiling and the crisp white decor give the room a clean cut look. Room has an en-suite which like the bedroom was spotless. I notice that one of the signs in the room indicate that the hot water is limited given the size of the tank but we had no problems and neither would anyone else assuming that you don't spend an eternity in the shower. There was also a small wrought iron balcony from which you can observe the street life below and also glimpse a view of the Cathedral to your right.

Air con worked fine and was essential. There was also a heater in the room for wintertime. As I said already we faced the busier street but I cannot comment on whether the noise would affect your sleep as the hum from the air con drowned out all other sounds. If you are a light sleeper perhaps it would be better to reserve a room facing the quieter Calle Cordonerias just to be on the safe side.

Hotel does not serve food but the owner does give fine restaurant recommendations which were of good quality and value, plus there are many other choices within a short stroll. There is also a drinks machine beside reception.

Something to note is that this is an old building with a number of floors but no elevator.

Given that the hotel is located right in the heart of Toledo, this means that it can be a little difficult to locate give the medieval street plan of Toledo. Easiest way is to get a bus or taxi to Plaza de Zocodover and from here walk down Calle Comercio (street to the south west of the Plaza) until you get a glimpse of the Cathedral steeple. On the right hand side of the street you will notice a sign with a large 'H' on it beside a number of international flags over 'Cafeteria Zocodover'. This is the building the hotel is located in but the entrance is on a parallel street. Just take the next right after the Cafe and you will find the entrance.

Many people visiting Madrid might be tempted to visit Toledo just as a day trip, can I just say that Toledo transforms after the tourist throngs have disappeared each evening into an extremely romantic and haunting city given the maze of streets and the wonderful street lighting. And if you do decide to stay, stay here.

We booked this place last minute and what a great surprise it was. Super close to everything. The staff of husband and wife are super friendly. The owner is full of great recommendations. All the places he recommended were not only delicious but also friendly to my pocket.

This hostal is the best for a place to stay in Toledo, Spain. It is centrally located in the old city, within minutes walks to great sites, dining, and services. The hosts/staff are friendly, speak English, and are ready to give recommendations for dining, site seeing, and tours. The rooms are very accommodating with clean beds and great amenities. We were even able to bring our bikes upstairs to our room (the host actually carried mine up for me). The value of the room for the price is the best deal and hidden value for travelers in Spain. We will definitely stay there again on our next trip to Spain!
