We stayed here en route to southern Spain and after an initial nightmare trying to manoeuvre quite a large car round the very narrow streets leading to the hotel and not being able to fit it in their garage, we were directed to a public car park who charged us 18 euros for the night. The staff at the Hotel were very helpful, especially Alejandro, our room was small but spotlessly clean and the view from the terrace was spectacular. The hotel is situated just a short walk from the cathedral and we loved meandering round the narrow streets and exploring the local shops, restaurants and bars.

Stayed for two nights in the older part of the hotel. Our room (105) was basic but clean and the wifi connection very strong.

The staff are friendly and helpful especially when it came to parking the car in the underground car park.

The location is great, 100m to the cathedral, no more 15 minutes walk to all the other places of interest. Staying in the city at night gives a chance to enjoy the atmosphere without the thousands of day trippers who cram the city during the day.

Driving in the city is not for the faint hearted - the streets are very narrow and twisty. A small car with a good sat nav is the best plan.

Stayed here for 1 night. Moderate room (nothing special) for the room type we have reserved. The room condition is overall clean. Weak WiFi signal.

Location wise, it is within Toledo old city, and it is very short walk to the main street.

Nevertheless, the view from the rooftop terrace is memorable!

The hotel is just a few blocks from the cathedral, so it is a great location. For those visiting central Toledo, I recommend never driving there, because of insanely narrow streets and difficulty navigating this medieval city. We took a taxi. We paid a little extra for a superior double with cathedral view and we are glad we did. The room was impressively big. It did not have modern double glazed windows but we were not bothered by noise (the city gets quieter after the daytripping tourists leave). The breakfast is not fantastic but is adequate. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I almost forgot, be sure to go to the top floor and see the wonderful view from the terrace. Overall, this was a terrific value.

Room Tip: Ask for superior double with cathedral view.

Our room 216 was lovely, we extended our stay by one extra night (and moved down to room 11 for the 3rd and final night) The city is quite amazing, the Cathedral simply stunning and the local people very helpful and attentive. David on reception is a gem, very good English and very helpful with lots of tips for sightseeing.

We found a lovely restaurant Casa Aurelio not far from the hotel, everyone there especially Kashif and Ruth were extremely helpful during a particularly stressful 'camera problem' time. We are very grateful for their compassion and help. The food is of local custom and very tasty, well done chef!

If we ever get back to the lovely Toledo we'll definitely stay at Santa Isabel again.

We stayed here over Christmas and had an excellent time. It's a short walk from the bus stops on the Plaza Zocodover and only a few minutes walk from the cathedral. We had a lovely corner room on the first floor, facing the front of the hotel. The room was very clean and comfortable, although the shower and toilet were the smallest we'd ever seen! The shower was in a tiny bath, rather than a shower tray and this actually made it more inconvenient to use. The best thing about the room was the great wooden shutters that each window had. Very useful when we had a stormy night, with rain lashing down. Kept any street noise out too.

There was noise from other rooms, including someone who sounded like they were auditioning for X factor or some other talent show. But it was quiet at night, so can't really complain. The rest of the hotel was spotless and very nicely decorated. The internet worked fine,

On Christmas Eve, they put out some cakes and drinks for guests to have. These were there until we left on the 26th. They also placed some small sweets and a card in our room. Really nice touches from the management. We really liked this hotel and it's one of our favourites from all our visits to Spain. There wasn't a supermarket nearby, but there is one in the main market hall that is quite good. There are restaurants nearby, but it's a short walk to the main sights and streets. Excellent hotel.
