The gate, with Charles V's huge coat of arms, is a tremendous assertion of the reach and power of the Emperor at the height of Spain's power in the mid-sixteenth century. Food for thought…

Like all the city center.. Also this Gate is impressive. The way to enter or go out of the moral. You can enter by car.

One of the symbols of the city is now next to a busy roundabout, with heavy traffic running all day. Don't expect to be able to find some quiet time around.

Stroll around Toledo City entrances and in particular enjoy the buildings at Bisagra gate. Very impressive. Some visitors might take a bus or taxi into the city, but they would miss the opportunity to inspect close-up the entrance gates. The Bisagra gate is a fine example of Toledo´s history.

Puerta Bisagra welcome visitors coming to the Toledo old town from the north. Imposing, thick walls, accompanied by two picturesque towers. Three entrances - two now used by cars, and the middle one only for pedestrians. Nice site to have a stroll there during your visit to Toledo.
