We ate the fixed price menu for lunch in the arched ceiling basement. Good local food with venison meatballs and local trout. It was a pleasant place to sit after a long tour around Toledo.

English menus with great variety of dishes from lamb to vegetarian...something for every one. Our favorite in Toledo.

A large group of us down in the dungeon basement got lots of good service. The food was not of the highest quality, but was tasty. I had something with wild boar recommended by a spanish colleague (but everything else escapes me). If you want somewhere cheerful to eat and drink without any pretension, then this is to be recommended. However, I was being paid for, which always puts a great spin on a restaurant.

We reserved a table for 10 persons and to make it easy for the staff we requested a tapa selection for 10 people. The waiter did not speak any English but fortunately someone in our group spoke some Spanish. It was to much work for 10 persons and therefore we could not choose tapa's for 10 persons. We could only pick the dishes he selected for us. As we had 2 people in the group that can not eat pork we requested some dishes without pork but off course almost all the dishes included pork in the end. The quality of the food was really bad and they have this horrible dish, eggs with chips, which turns out to be an ommelette with french fries underneath, who thinks of something like that.
After we finished eating they did not clean up the table and left all the plates and food on the table until we paid the bill. They did not ask if we wanted a dessert or coffee either.
The good thing is that the drinks were cheap but that is the only thing I can think off. It was the worst dinner we ever had.
