They have a lift! It is helpful when you have heavy suitcases. The room and bathroom though basic was big and clean. The staff speak little English though they were professional and tried to help. At 30 euros it is great value for money. Good location also. Short walk to sights and restaurants. There is a Carrefour supermarket in the next street.
Wi-fi was only so-so. No air-con.

Room Tip: Without air-con summer nights might be hot.

This place isn't a five star hotel, but as other reviews have noted, it's well-located, clean, and has all the basics. I ended up in one of the minority of rooms facing into a ventilator shaft rather than the majority that face out onto the street. The latter would no doubt be sunnier, and might be worth requesting. Above all, the prices are very reasonable. I would go back.

Good breakfast, with hot things which was unusual in my experience in SPain and Portugal. Room was comfortable and clean. Not sure of value for money as it was part of a package with a tour company. Easy walk to all the main tourist sights.

My , wife and I have been, for the last ten years, spending a week at the Condal. It is well within the tourist area of Salamanca and within walking distance of all that is best of the architecture of this wonderful city. The rooms are not the most luxurious you will find in Salamanca but they are spotlessly clean, the sheets and towels are changed on a daily basis. We always have bed and breakfast there. This year the breakfast is buffet and, once we got used to it proved to be very effective. The desk always has someone who can understand your English and give you all the information you require of this wonderful city. The hotel has a good bar that serves all kinds of beverage. If you are tempted to visit this hotel, ask for room 605. from it's windows you can see all of it's great buildings

Room Tip: As I said above, book a room on the 6th. floor. It is a magnificent view.

Perfect for a stopover. comfort location, staff ...etc. The cafe next door is quite up-market, free Wifi and great coffee.
Parking -I disagree with a previous reviewer. While the one way system is tricky to negotiate, there is secure underground parking right opposite the hotel. We had a transit van and were really happy.

This was a good clean hotel (45 euros a night), 10 minutes walk away from the main old square. Price did not include breakfast but there was a nice little cafe attached with a friendly waiter who served us with buns and coffee. Perfectly serviceable hotel and good value for money.

Room Tip: There is a restaurant on the opposite corner to the hotel which is quite expensive and not worth the...

The hotel is just North of the Plaza Major. It is a friendlybusy hotel with a typical, lively, Spanish bar/ cafe also used by locals. The decor was a bit tired but the room was clean and a reasonable size. It was wet and cold when we were there in late October but there was no heating on at all but plenty of hot water to warm up in the bath. There was a fairly long powercut whilst we were there (several hours) because water had got into the local power supply. The hotel is very convenient for many of the main sights which reflected in the cost. Parking was in an undergroud car park which was very wet when we were there and cost us more than 30 euros in addition to the hotel bill for just less than 3 days It was nearly impossible to unload outside the hotel so I had to go round the block twice while my husband found out where to park and check in and then we had to carry all our stuff from the car-park over a busy road to the hotel and back again at the end of the stay. The hotel was OK but we would probably not return.

Room Tip: Probably all fairly similar although South facing rooms on higher floors had a bit of a view of the...
