We were passing through Salamanca. With two teenagers, we needed two rooms for the night and wanted to stay near the Plaza Mayor so we could enjoy the paseo. But we didn't want to spend the big bucks for two rooms in a hotel. Hotel G&G offered the perfect answer. For 40 Euros per room, we got two very comfortable double rooms with showers, air conditioning, TV and free WIFI - everything you need for a short stay. The location was a short stroll to the square and the Cathedral but just far enough from the Centro for cheap parking and an easy drive out of the city. Rafael, the manager, was super friendly. Looks a little dumpy, but the place is very clean, and the people are friendly. Highly recommended for the budget traveler. Great for families.

The owner could not have been more friendly and helpful. We, my wife and I, spent two nights on our way back to Madrid. Clean, comfortable, wifi free, good recommendations for restaurants, and a very easy walking distance to all the local sights. And at 40 euros/night a great budget stop over.

Room Tip: Ask for the room over the parking garage, on the first floor, lots of light and a quiet street.

We arrived by bike having cycled 79 very hilly km from Bejar. Found hotel on tripadvisor while sat in bar. Arrived and person behind desk extremely helpful, quoted same price as on internet.
This is the first time anywhere, and I do a lot of cycle touring, that the person behind the desk has actually helped us carry our bags up to the room.
Whole hotel extremely clean. Would book here without hesitation if coming again.

The floor I stayed on (1st) had been updated and was super clean and comfortable. Rooms have A/C and private baths and all flooring is new wood laminate. Couldn't be beat for the price. The icing on the cake are the people that run it - super friendly and accommodating and everything is close by. 5 or 6 minutes to Plaza Mayor with plenty of shopping, banks and great tapas right around the hotel. Also close to a bus stop and a taxi stand. There is a nice 24 Hour market 20 meters from the hotel entrance for drinks, snacks etc. Would love to stay there again. Highly recommended.

My friends and I traveled to Salamanca on a very busy holiday weekend. There were very few hotels with available rooms at a reasonable price. Gabriel y Galan was helpful in accommodating us for 2 nights. At first when the owner was unable to offer us a room at his hotel he called to other hotels to ask them if they had available rooms. He was kind and patient with us, which was important being that Spanish is not our first language.
