“A breath of fresh air”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 June 2014

Like the automobile museum, the bridge comes as a relief after all the ecclesiastical and academic baroque and gothic stuff in the middle of Salamanca. Walk across, breathe the air, feel the freedom, look down at what remains of the river, and examine the intriguing prehistoric 'verraco'…

“Great place for a morning stroll”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 June 2014

We went out for an early morning walk along the river by the Roman bridge and discovered that it is the centerpiece of a riverside park and trail network. The bridge itself was great (we are fans of all things Roman), but joining the locals for their morning constitutionals and jogs was enjoyable in and of itself.

“The best view of Salamanca”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 May 2014

Is worth to go there so that you can take the best picture of Salamanca: go to almost the end of the bridge, and turn around; is like a postcard!

“This is a joke comparing to Merida's bridge!”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 March 2014

When I arrived, I was expecting to see some large bridge and real nice, at least half of Merida's bridge. But it's rather a joke than a roman bridge. It's like a quarter of Merida's bridge, nothing special of it, just a good conserved one.

“Great spot for running”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 February 2014 via mobile

The bridge itself is OK, specially if you compare it with other roman stuff you can find in Spain. But you can take nice pictures and is a great spot for running - if you're coming from the centre, go until the end of the bridge and turn right.
