This is the best meal I had in Salamanca and indeed one I will remember. The house specialility is meat. We were recommended the solomillo (morucha cattle) which had seared fois gras on top. The mushroom sauce was delicious as was the meat, a speciality reared in Salamanca. As a starter we had asparragos and fried potatoes with ham (as you do not get any carbohydrates with the steaks). Everything was very tasty. We did not stay in the dining area at the back but took one of the marble tables a the front which was then laid out with a proper table cloth. The meal came to 55 Euros including drinks and we paid the rest in tips.
